i apologize if you took my comment to heart. i never intended it to be an insult. but no, i mean, fans sometimes really tend to overamp on boxing matches - i think that is a big mistake that alot of fans tend to do. boxing fans tend to judge too much on the old motto "you are only as good as your last fight". at least that is the general consensus tonight.

anyway, i am very impressed by calzaghe's feel for the game. the guy is just a proven winner. he doesn't always win convincingly, doesnt fight with textbook style, and he doesn't have the most beautiful boxing style in the world, but he DOES know how to fight. he does serve as a reminder why great fighters with unorthodox styles and lots of ring savvy are so formidable.

read somewhere that in a post fight interviewe calzaghe brought up the same excuse about his hands effecting the way he fought.hope like hell to see kessler get a shot before calzaghe retires or goes back fighting bums.

Incidentally, did anyone hear Bika say something after the ref's instructions that made The Blow turn back? Sounded like a contemptuous "break a leg" to me.
