    Too much Blow-boating (includes result)

My heart was in my mouth watching that... ****in' 'ell! How many flush shots do you have to take before you put your hands up?

I feel for the guy though... he's overanxious to impress after the Lacy performance, he's got a tough opponent in front of him (oh... Bika > Lacy) who isn't going to lie down and is fouling him constantly, his timing is off... what a ****ing mess.

I had it 115-112 Blow, a little closer than the judges had it, but I can't disagree with their decision. Not a good night for the Blow though, and he was the one marked up, though admitted himself it wasn't a great performance.

It was an odd night... Joe was clearly expecting to Blow Bika away, while the rest of us were perhaps expecting another virtublowso performance. In the end, we got neither.

    THE BATTY COUNT:

    * A white European gets a bad cut in the fourth off a black guy, though the fight is allowed to continue while the black guy gets a point deducted. When I logged on just now I got a pm off Versatile saying "I'm going to make 15 'Bika was robbed in Europe' threads and keep posting 'em till July 2007". True story.

    * Here's a thought: though he's getting more respect than ever in his ninth year as a champion, if The Blow had the Stars and Stripes on his passport would he be a LOT more respected? I mean, take away Hopkins and Toney and what really IS the difference in opponents for The Blow and RJJ? Let's be honest here: if The Blow was a Yankee Doodle, it doesn't matter who he fought, posters on here would be calling him "the greatest ever" and saying "he doesn't have to fight Kessler, he'd win anyway." Agree/disagree? I think you know dat's true, dawgs!

    * Is it just me or is Lennox Lewis - who appeared briefly on ITV with a Raesaad-style moustache and what looked like mascara - looking more and more like Little Richard? He's as bent as a coathanger as well. Allegedly, obviously. Apparently he's got a new single coming out "Good Golly Miss Molly... Definitely."

    * Surprising development on the undercard where Enzo Macrinelli and Mark Hobson had a rematch of their competitive and full distance fight... only for Enzo to take him out in 90 seconds. It looked like a back of the head shot (with Hobson leaning into it, not intentional) though alternate angles showed it landed behind the ear. I didn't even have time to get my cup of tea and biscuits before it was all over. It's bum batty!

LOL, the Batty count never fails to impress me.

Bika definately > Lacy, atleast in his performance against Joe, he had a much better gameplan, and tied Joe up at basically every opportunity, although his Guzman/Benn tactics he used on the ropes didn't work at all.

I resent him for leading with his head, a few times were intentional, I noticed Joe caught him with a head for the first time in the round against the ropes, and he immediately retaliated with his head, a bit cheeky considering he landed more headbutts than punches, wouldn't you say?

He desperately needs to move up in weight...

He looks weaker and weaker and weaker with every single fight. At the weigh-in, each of Joe's hands looked bigger than his waist! He's been struggling to make 168 for years, but now it's gone too far because he has no strength left.

You could tell it was just pitter-patter stuff tonight, a far cry from the days he was ****ing harder than heavyweights. In his early career he looked like a really big lad, strong. Now, he just looks weak and skinny, and his punching is getting sloppier with each fight that passes.

        Move up to light-heavy FFS.

I think you are getting a bit overanxious about this matter, but I am not gonna discuss it right now, cause my head is not all that clear yet.

Which is what makes us fans.

I don't know about anyone else, but time seems real ****ing slow before a Calzaghe fight, and I get pumped up.

What do you expect people to do? Say "I don't get excited about boxing" then take a ****? This is a boxing forum, you know.
