    If Floyd Beat These Guys.......

If Floyd ever beat Mosley, De La Hoya, Margarito, Cotto, and Hatton, do you think he will go down as the best boxer alive as he claims now? Personally I know that he is not one of the greats but if he manages to beat all of these guys he will be on my list. And which one of these guys do you think will give PBF the most trouble? I think Sugar Shane would. What do you guys think?

the only guy who had the guts to chase big fights was DLH. Cant see PBF fighting all of these guys.

NO. I am a big boxing fan and I really like Floyd...great boxer; tremendous skills. Nobody will ever compare to Sugar Ray Robinson. Watch the HBO special on him sometime. He won his first 41 fights, and never lost to any opponent twice. He fought the toughest of tough competition (LaMotta; Basilio; Armstrong;Kid Gavilan, Graziano etc.) Now factor in that after his first loss to LaMotta, he fought the next week against a contender. And two weeks later avenged the loss to LaMotta. For this no boxer in the modern day will ever overtake him in terms of all-time greatness.

If you replaced Margarito with whoever is the middleweight champ at the time say: Jermaine Taylor, then he will go down in my top 5 greatest. Also if he fought and beat Winky, that would also bump him up a few notches.

I don't see him winning a fight at 160, either.

So if he did become the middleweight champion of the world, that would be cause for greatness, would it not?

Even if he beat Taylor at 160 and Winky I still don't see his accomplishments to be as great as SRR. But those wins would put him in my top 10. It is hard for me to rank today's fighters highly when they fight 2-4 times a year. The sheer number of fights the "old timers" had was impressive. Let alone the level of competition and turn around times.

I agree if he beat the lineal champs at 154 and 160 I would rank him top 3 all time great

mayweather is VERY clever, hatton applies pressure yeh,it would trouble floyd, but floyds smart enough 2 find his way around that, shane is a smart guy,he will have tactics, which is why i think hes the man 2 beat floyd, when floyd loses it will be a tactical fight, both fighters trickin an movin and thinkin about what they do,a propper boxin match, hatton vs mayweather is like the bully vs the geek, the bully pushes the geek around, but in the end the bully is thinkin **** why wasnt i like him, hatton would get a science lesson 2 remember
