I like Floyd's slick defense style better, and the shoulder roll. Winky just stands right in front of you. If Winky is in there with someone stronger is face will show the blows like against Taylor, even though he didn't fight as much defensive against Jermain.

Also when Wright jabs you might want to jab with him, except throw a hard jab with your weight behind it almost coming forward. Make him have to beat you with his left.

The problem is that Winky is quite fast. I think his speed is underrated. He can whip out a jab and be on the defense before you can try to match his hand speed.

its not his hand speed as much as it is his jabs speed. is combinations arent spectacularly fast, but his jab certainly is

The shoulder roll is very effective example James Toney he doesnt have the speed he used and still is effective the HW punchs. yes he got caught by some but still he defense is very effective to make his couter ready.

Why is'nt anyone getting the fact that they have 2 total different defenses...........And if you look at the long term...OVERALL.... likie I think this argument sugggests you have to see Winky has been and will be going strong with his style of D while PBF can't..........he simply can't.He has another 4 or 5 years if he is lucky and he will be getting tagged non stop.....unless he adapted to a more Winky style D.

its not anywhere like toneys....toney dosnt have to hop all over the ring to use his defense he can stand right there and make you miss

What are you talking about? Their defensive styles are very similiar except Mayweather uses his athleticism more. Toney used to be athletic until he got older but watch Toney's older fights & you'll see the similarity.
