where as winky well hes in his mid 30s and hes still winning ...lets see if mayweather can do that

Floyds defence is better IMO,Floyd defence he hardly gets hit at all,Winkys defence is great and solid, but when a hard hitter keeps hittin ur arms and gloves it can do a bit of damage, and sometimes u can get thru Winkys defence,in a Floyd fight and Winky fight,Winky gets hit more, but its very close,Floyds a bit better tho

Tough question with a complicated answer. I guess I think that Floyd's defense is better... in that it is more versatile. He avoids punches, moves his feet, and blocks punches with the shoulder roll/gloves. Winky relies much more on the "hands up" defense and never gives his opponent a clear target. It's just that against a fighter with a gameplan like Taylor or Soliman, Winky can be hit (although mostly in the arms and shoulders these punches do damage). On the other hand, Winky has more longevity in his defense because slowed reactions will have less of an effect on his defense. This is a really close call because Floyd has been hit by Castillo and Jesus Chavez and Zab Judah looked a little too comfortable early in the fight. Like I said earlier Floyd's defense by a hair just because of versatility but that will change as age takes its effect.

damn good vid kfootball. yea like the guy above says , i say its a draw as well. floyds defense is real fancy and nice wheres as winky's defense is real basic but works. in the end both get the job done. peace.

Floyd Mayweather has a more diverse defense.
He can use that gay shoulder thing, he can move his head, he can move his feet, and he can pick off punches with his gloves. Winky's defense only consists of blocking and absorbing all the punishment on his arms. Winky is much better at that particular defense, but Mayweather is better with all around defense.

Mayweathers defense is just as good if not better than James Toney's & we see how successful he's been throughout the years. I would expect the same from Mayweather. Wright's defense is very good; but he can still be hit & damage can be done to him. We haven't seen that yet from Mayweather & hopefully he keeps fighting so that those questions can be answered.

its not anywhere like toneys....toney dosnt have to hop all over the ring to use his defense he can stand right there and make you miss

with much consideration floyds defense is better then wrights only for the reason that he gets his less and isnt that what defense is all about? not takeing punishment

James Toney has the best defence but it's getting worse. Wright's defence is very basic, he keeps his hands high and elbows tucked to the body using the jab to his opponents offence off balance. Somebody with power, an attacking fighter with a good body attack and headmovement would make Wright look bad, slipping his jab and countering with hard shots to the ribs, then following that up with combinations to the head. If somebody really gets on Wright he's f***ked. His counterpunches arn't going to make anybody of note think twice and standing and slogging it out on the inside is not his game, not with those long arms.

Also when Wright jabs you might want to jab with him, except throw a hard jab with your weight behind it almost coming forward. Make him have to beat you with his left.
