Mayweather is the same type of fighter. Whether hes in camp or not, hes working out.

Hopkins ran soooo much between camps, it allowed him to stay in shape until he was old and grey.

Mayweather runs whenever he feels like it, tons of miles everyday. Its rediculous. He could last very long in the sport if he could keep it up, and if anyone whos fighting right now could do it, its mayweather
    i agree.

From that show about Floyd on VERSUS, he said he runs late at night. 1am, 2am, it gives him a mental edge, where he knows while his opponent is getting sleep, he is out there becoming better.

I think the next 5 years will be the best of Floyd we have seen, and we are alll luck to be alive and in the boxing world during these historic years.

I could see him fighting another 10 years but I see him stopping before then.

He's always in shape and I believe he's in good health.

Well I guess it will never end...we will get to see Floyd slow down, take some punishment, and probably even be knocked out by the time he feels he should retire...so much for retiring undefeated.

Lets face it, once you hit 30, your attributes decline, even if very little at a time...Life's a *****

Yeah well we will see how goo his D works for him when he is 35........He will be ****ed like most speed boxers are at that age...........Ala Bryd,RJJ and many others.

              Floyd's defense>Roy Jones Jr defense.

When he gets older he'll most likely rely more on his defense, and use more defensive skills.

Oh yeah and why are we discussing this now? He hasn't turned 30 and he won't be 30 until next year.

As much as I dislike the guy.. he has a lot admirable qualities
Its too bad that with these admirable qualities, come unadmirable ones.

like we saw in the judah fight, he can do a winky wright type defense as well. not half as good as winkies, but it will come in very handy once his reflexes slow down.

and back to hopkins. considering that most fighters are considered over the hill at age thirty, it is nothing short of miraculous that hopkins is fighting the way he is at age 40 (41?) Mayweather wont be able to do that.

But i think when he gets to 35 hes not even gonna be to far out of his prime. He wont be the same fighter, but he will still be GREAT

like i said, if the competition is game to fight mayweather i don't think he'll last as long.
I heard Hopkins became a vegitarian and stayed in shape 24/7 but in reality that is the only way he was going to be able to stay at middleweight and thats basicly how he did it, by staying in shape 24/7. Huge sacrafice, but that was his advantage and as mentioned he didn't have the competition at middleweight.

Floyd has been doing good by avoiding the bigger fighters. As long as he faces the same class of competition he will be alright. But he will be in trouble once he starts to take on tough opponet after tough opponet as has been done by other greats.

Floyd is already 29, its been years since fighting a top fighter who actually has a chance to beat him. The down fall will be when he steps up, after having feasted on lower class fighters, he will be in for a rude awakening.
