Margarito has as much right to claim to be the best at 147 as any of the other guys there. I consider him unproven - but who at 147 has a great record at 147? There's a lot of talent there, but not many head to head matchups.

Assuming that PBF gets by Baldomir, he's in position to unify the division and be the undisputed champ but I doubt he will and he is more likely to look for softer options e.g. Spinks at 154.

If Floyd wins, hes the ring champion, unifying wont mean anything

Ring Championship overrides anything and everything, its not a paper title, at all. If floyd is ring champion, ESPN/Legit Media sources will reckonize him, period. The ring champion is more legit than anyone, it looks good on paper, and its good for boxing, no matter how you spin it. I dont like Hatton, at all, but i realize hes the real champ at 140 as long as he has the ring belt. And i respect that.

If moving up a division to fight another champion is considered "soft," why couldn't Margarito cut it when he stepped up to 154 to fight Santos? When Rivera and Winky came calling his name Margarito's people were saying he won't go up to 154. The fact is Tony isn't **** without a size advantage. He has no skills...

I dont. Instead of calling yourself the creme de la creme and all that other bs go for the tough fights and prove it. fight baldi, someone who everyone knows he will outbox to an easy ud doesnt cut it. he will have the ring championship but in the eyes of many boxing fans including me hes taking the easy road. someone who should be getting a lot of credit right now is taylor. he is fighting the best out there something floyd should be doing.

yet when he had a size disadvantage he was still the one stalking santos and hurting him. being outweight by 20lbs and moving up to a new weight class for the first time says something. but not to u because u r too blind to realize what a accomplishment that is for someone like tony.

And what if Clottey manages a win, what will you say then? The thing is, if PBF is KO'ed by Baldomir, his resume alone still wins him into the hall of fame, easily, not to mention his career started at 130. It would suck, but PBF has alot accomplished already weather you like it or not. But if Margarito loses in december, his career is basically over.
