“I believe I am the uncrowned middleweight champion of the world, and I’m looking at this fight against Ike Quartey as my first title defense,” said Wright, who is coming off a disputed 12 round draw with middleweight champ Jermain Taylor. “Ike earned his way here with his performance against Vernon Forrest, a fight I believe he won, and we’re gonna show boxing fans what middleweight boxing at its best looks like.”

LMAO!!! Nothing like listening to a loser whine. Winky was fortunate to get a gift draw. Taylor was the clear winner. This fight might be entertaining but it is next to meaningless.

Funny how two people can watch the same fight and see completely different things. Taylor is a gentleman and a class act. He's not the type to whine about a bogus decision. Anyway, that is one of the things I've always hated about boxing. The fact that in most cases you have judges deciding the winner rather then the men themselves. Glorified figure skating. Give me the days when they would fight 50 rounds or until one man couldn't get up. No question about who the winner was back then.

We would see taylors true colors had he not be on the gift end of 3 decisions In major fights in his young career........He Did not clearly beat Hopkins especially the first time and then was hnaded a gift Draw when Wright beat him by a couple of Rds IMO..........Either way I take nothing away from taylor but I bet you would see him talking too if he had not been on the good end of the stick in all of these close fights.

Is this your first official post in the boxing forum ??? I've never seen you post anything about boxing. Anyways, what fight were you watching ? Winky fortunate ? Taylor clear winner ?

Again...How did you come to the conclusion that Taylor was the clear winner ?
