****** thread title. Yeah Marquez got exposure when he fought Pacquiao, of course it was a big opportunity, but key word opportunity. He had not only the opportunity to win the fight but to get knocked out in the first round what's important is that he made good of it scoring the draw.

I dont even know why I post in these kinds of threads though as they're not actually about boxing. Just on under the guise of it.

there are more mexicans in the world and in america than filipinos

                  large country>small island.

although when i was in europe/asia most of them had never met a mexican in their life. but here in america, they have a more than prominent population

Its pretty obvious that mexicans outnumber all latinos and soon most other races in america so its only obvious there will be more mexicans supporting their fighters than any other race. Because mexicans sports stars are almost exclusively in boxing/mexican league soccer. And i specificly say mexican league soccer because there is only one mexican soccer superstar in europe and its Rafeal Marquez and he definately deserves it. Hes one of the best defenders in the world, so much finesse without overdoing it on ****** fouls. I need to stop, but hes just that good.

I think Pac made JMM more famous to general public but he wa already well regarded even before he fought pac. I think that going into the fight against Pac, alot of boxing "experts(incliding Steward)" were picking JMM to beat pac because they said he was the natural feather, had the best style to counter pac and that pac just beat a "shot" Barrera.
