Will Valuev reach 50:0?

I'm sure they'll be extended until his 50th fight. I mean, it would make sense to promote the hell out of his 50th fight, talking about Marciano's record and all that. It would make a great PR for the fight.

I think the boxing public will have turned against him by then if he hasn't fought anyone - that's four more fights against non-elite fighters - probably 2 years or so - the novelty will have worn off.

That depends on who he fights. He probably will, if he keeps fightin guys like Barret. Wladimir would box the **** out of him easily, and Lyhovich would out work him for a win. Possibly Peter would beat him, but that would be one of the sloppiest fights ever.

You're right, I can't see him having much of a chance against Donald Hoskins. Just too much skill, and too much power for Valuev to withstand.

If he fights Wladimir, Lyakhovich or Briggs, he will not reach 50-0. don king is a sneaky bastard. He will keep Valuev away from any good big fighters as long as he can. I do not think Samuel Peter would defeat Valuev because I do not think Peter is tall enough to really hurt Valuev. Peter would have to punch upwards and that take's away from Sam's power. Sam needs to punch on an even or lower level in order for him to really punch with the full impact.

There are lots of bums to choose from in this degraded division, so he may well break Marciano's record.
