Is Valuev a weak puncher?

He's definitely not a weak puncher. He is just not a knockout puncher because like the HBO commentators mentioned he doesn't have that quick muscle reflex, you can see and brace yourself for most of his punches. He's not going to shock you with a blind left hook. The thing about that is he can really cause you long term injury, He'll **** your skull all over for alot of rounds with hard punches but they're slow punches so their just hurting you and not knocking you out until a massive accumulation.

I agree what most have said so far.He does have alot of power but hes so slow that he has trouble catching people clean and i guess thats why his trainers have him throw short punches from closer than he needs to be.In the 11th rd when he did let go from a distance and put some weight behind his shot it looked like he had some pop.Most of his fights he just throws short arm punches just trying to connect.
