I gave gave Barrett 2-6 and Valuev the rest. I thought that in 2-6, as few as they were, Barrett's punches were cleaner and he was making Valuev miss. I won'targue if you saw it differently.

That said, I still don't understand why no one sees what I see. If you want to beat Valuev, the body is the key. He's huge, but he has a VERY soft midsection. Everyone tries to take him out to the head, even though it's plain to anyone with eyes that his skull is armor plated, not t mention the fact that trying to punch a foot and a half upwards is going to drain you very fast.
Valuev's punches are slow and too infrequent. Step to the left or right of his jab, one-two hard to the body, step inside the slow right that's coming, short double left to the body, step around and keep him turning.
You might be absolutely right but i think the real problem is that almost no fighter in the heavyweight division has the conditioning, or ability to give a hard no clinching 12 rounds. As soon as u clinch with valuev (328 lbs) its over because of all that weight weighing u down. Thats one of the reasons i would call the heavyweight division a poor division.

I don't think so he was fough decent guys guys who have had good careers after they lost to valuev. Granted non are world beaters but they are guys who know how to fight and win. it bothers me that people give him no credit for his wins. granted all his opponents were there to loose but that does not make them bad or weak fighters.

He does not get credit for Donald or Ruiz because he clearly LOST. Those were his best opponents, as far as I know.

I have heard many say the Ruiz win was legit. He was simply landing harder punches than Ruiz, if less of them.

when somebody 7'3 330 leans on your all fight long your going to be tire..then his head is like a saint bernard's so your punches wont effect him much when your tired..3rd he's heavy handed eventhough he dosent have speed to make the punch devastitng..like somebody said earlier..i say klitchko peter brewster could probably have a shot

It is hard to beat him because its like putting Morales in the ring with Brewster... Or like Pacman with Oleg... The weight and height differences are ******.

YOU ARE ABSOLUTELY RIGHT...Valuev is not a quality boxer, he has basic skills and a NEANDERTHAL.....dont go to that beachball size head, work this loser to the body and slip his slow punches...this guy isnt a boxer he is a chromagdon!!! he is a disgrace to all those who have entered the ring with any talent whatsoever, cant wait till he fights Klitchko or other heavyweights who can fight..btw...my props to Barrett but he didnt fight a smart fight...chop down the ****in oak tree...its the only way...pick any of the top ten heavy's from the eighties and Valuev cant shine their shoes.....
