You need to back those claims up with more than just being a friend of a boxing photographer.

im not saying corrales doesnt have a big advantage, because he most certainly does. All im saying is, this advantage wont make AS big a difference as it did in the castillo fight.

Not saying castillo's weight problems were worse, because i am equally disgusted in both fighters, but dont think this is gonna be a repeat of corrales-castillo II
Actually if I remember correctly on fight day Corrales weighed more or the same as castillo since castillo was restricted to weign in a certain weight on the day of the fight. So there were no additional 5 pounds of force/momentum you speak of.

The difference in that second fight were Castillo's adjustments, he put distance between him and the taller and physically stronger corrales (at no point could castillo in the first fight or second fight push corrales back) more in the second fight, as a result corrales missed more and castillo nailed him for nearly every mistake he made.

Good post, but i don't aggrre that Corrales is strong then Castillo, as you said, its simpley that Castillo adjusted more and gave some angle.

There is a rule both fighter didnt make the rule its upto the other fighter to consider the fight.

For example Pac-Morales where Morales wanted pac to fight up in weight but he insisted on super FW. Its take or leave it.

but on the other hand its a sport where there is courge issue where fans control it. For example when Casamayor called out Corrales after his win and Corrales refused most people said Corrales is a puss and that is the reason why he took the fight. As for Castillo is the same there is so much pressure in in the 3rd fight that is hard to say no and disappoint his fans and lose reputation as a fighter.

Its better to fail at wieght-in trying to fight than to be called a sacred and ducked.

            1. Castillo was 147 Corrales was 149 come fight time in the re-match

            2. Your point about it being such a inside fight is poorly justified, Corrales could have boxed from a distance and used his jab had he chosed o but didnt

            3. Its obvious even as a big Castillo fan that in the re-match he had tried to make weight but maybe a few days before it realised he couldnt and made his main focus on winning the fight

Blame Corrales for losin the re-match not JLC

You gotta give Chico credit for his career.

He outboxed a boxer {Casamayor}, outpunched a puncher {Freitas}and outbrawl a brawler Castillo.

He fought Castillo's fight and won him the first time even though he was part lucky.

In the 3rd bought Castillo could have won Corrales because Corrales was fighting Castillo fight. Even in the second fight where Castillo came overweight Corrales still fought a Castillo fight instead of trying to box him and use the space for his punchs.

I was going to change my prediction about the outcome of the fight ( I had Corrales by UD).But f%ck it I'll stick to my prediction. But all this struggling to make weight is going to kill him, especially in later rounds and against a tricky southpaw like Casa. But, Casa is past his prime. Let's see if he takes advantage of this.

First of all Chico is a *****.
Second of all, let me ask you, what do any of u really know aabout draining weight, for example which body types react better to draining weight better.
ITs tall and lanky with narrow bones type that react to the weight draining the best. I hope I dont need to explain why, and u got some commone sense.
Castillo's body type is one of the worst to drain weight from. He got big frame and broad bones, thus not as much muscle, thus its harder for him to drain weight.
Thats why I was always sceptical about all these exccuses for chico after the second fight and how he was dead because he drained himself harder.
Chico is one of the draining weight masters in the boxing. He knows every trick in the game on how to come out lighter.

I give credit for beating those guys but also I critize for not making the wieght.

you gotta be fair with both sides.

As castillo is concern he didnt make the weight twice with Corrales as well as with Reyes. So in the Reyes fight he should have had some buld above his head and say okay lets fight at 147 or 140 for Corrales.

another thing is sometime is not the fighter choose to fight because yougot fan, promoters and people who demand to see the fight right now so its a bit more complicated that what most people think it is.

What if Corrales didnt want to fight Casamayor til he ha some adjustment and see what his body can take, fan would be calling him a coward in both hand as well as his reputation as a fighter will fall down. He took Castillo first time so he could build his reputation so now I think he should win this fight or it would be down to the drain for Corrales boxing career as for Castillo he just got 1 year suspension in Las Vegas and he is fighting someone that time as some rumors say from boxrec in mexicio. But now I understand why Castillo didnt make the wieght. in the second fight as well as Corrales post-interview of the second fight he didnt try to bring the wieght isssue to Larry Merchent.

Most of use just see thing one one side of the story and those are guy like Street fighters you choose a player and both fight. It doesnt work that way in boxing there is many people and procendures invovle.
