boxingjunkie,it aint boxing ur hooked on if u think that,i aint denyin mayweathers opposition hasnt been the best, but hes beat corrales, castillo twice, arturo gatti, zab judah...all pretty decent opponents,if he fought marg it would be a step down not a step upComment

actually Marg has been ranked in the top 2 at WW for a little while..he would be the biggest, toughest fighter that Floyd has faced. Castillo and Corales are STILL at 135...Floyd dont want none...
And it would be a step up because he has fought the likes of Brussles, N'dou, Corely...Gatti..etc.Comment

Here is the problem. Mayweather's team has several times reached out to Hatton at both 140 and 147. Hes talking about how he has the style and this and that, yet he wont get in the ring. If he really felt he had the style he would have gotten in the ring with him after Mayweather won the title from Gatti. Or he would have gotten in the ring with him this fall when his promoter even ADMITTED that Mayweathers team contacted them and they wanted to take the defense against Otay Urkal, which was a heap of bull**** because he vacated the title anyway.
Soft opposition? Then why was Hatton's team trying to get a fight with Gatti? Why has Hatton been fighting bull**** opposition his entire career with the exception of 2 fights, (collazo/tszyu) neither in which he looked particularly impressive while winning.
But none of that matters, Mayweather has been trying to get a fight with Hatton and his team keeps saying "we need another tuneup" etc. You dont run your mouth about somebody you wont even face when offered. Arguments about opposition, p4p positions etc dont matter when one side one face the other, no matter how you look at it, Hatton for years has been doing everything he can not to fight mayweahter, while him and his trainer run their mouths about him.Comment
