Hey, I like Ricky and all, but why do people say that he needed to 'pack on' weight when he moved up to Welterweight? I couldve sworn he cut weight to begin with.
But I have no problem with saying that going up to a new weight class changes a fighter a lot, especially when theyve been fighting their whole life at a lower/different one. That makes perfect sense.
I think Hatton has the best chance against Floyd in the Welterweight division, Hatton would have to smother him like no one before, but Floyd made it through Castillo so you cant really say its nothing new completely new to him...Id like to see this fight happen regardless.
How much does Hatton usually weigh naturally? You cant 'pack on' weight if you have to cut to get there...

Hatton's near fighting weight within a few weeks of camp. He thought he was training to fight Juan Lezcano at 140 until about six weeks out HBO forced him to fight Luis Collazo at 147 (because that was Mayweather's weight I guess), and Kerry Kayes had to put 7lbs of muscle onto Ricky's frame in that time (or he wouldn't of been able to stand up to a welterweight's punches).
tito was a bum he showed us that when oscar got in the ring with him so how in your right mind could you ****ing say he was the best he was never the best floyd is the best cause hes a good fighter and he knows how to win his record has no losses name a fighter

At 135 maybe. He didn't prove a ****ing thing at 140.
**You don't know much if you use Collozo to compare with Floyd. Collazo is hugely bigger and stronger than Floyd and he's a clever southpaw as well.
Hatton and Floyd should've fought or scheduled each other this or next year. Both have lost steam in their careers, complicated by the fact that Cotto remains a huge wildcard payday for each of them.
Floyd needs to step it up, not Hatton. Hatton proved himself against Collazo, now, now Floyd needs to prove himself against Baldo. On paper this looks easy, but Baldo is gonna be there every second of the fight, putting the kind of pressure Floyd has never experienced and Baldo his hugely stronger. Floyd is lucky he's an old man and not a young gun.
wtf? how can you say floyd needs to step it up and not hatton? and what did hatton prove in the collazo fight? all he proved is if he's having problems with collazo (southpaw or not) he better step his game way up if he's thinking about getting in the ring with floyd because floyd is far the superior boxer/technician than collazo or anyone else hatton's ever fought.
