Do you regard Hatton's borderline physical infractions as "cheating"?

I'm not talking about the Zoo rabbit punch, I can take that as unitentional nerves getting to him. I've never seen that before or since, I think it was an accident, he didn't know what he was doing in the spur of the moment.

I'm talking about the hitting and holding, the grabbing opponent's arms, the "lickle nudges" and all the rest of it.

I DO regard it as cheating, personally.

Try and answer the question with some original thoughts and points though, don't just post "yo, Dave Parris and Hatton shud have a WWF wrestling partnership, LMAO! Brit phag, owned!"

The first time I ever saw him clinch in his life was a few times in the Tackie fight, and I saw it was as good tactics and just more tools to his armoury.

Ofcourse it's not cheating if you can get away with it!

Most Kronk fighters have been taught how to hold effectively when need be.

Cheating? Nah, but I do think he gets an advantage with the officiating in England. But the bottom line is that he earns every W, nobody gives him anything for free. At the end of the day, his low blows aren;t what wins the fights, it's the punches.

        I don't think it's cheating.

The amount of holding that goes on today should be called cheating, Hatton is just trying to fight on the inside with his opponent against the ropes who is trying to hold him, what else can he do?

That's how I see it anyway.

I've always thought ricky was the dirtiest high profile fighter around, with the possible exception of Casamayor. Casamayor is much more blatant about it.

With Ricky, I half think it's a product of his "upbringing". Having Dave Parris and/or Micky Vann officiating in some capacity in damned near every fight, neither of whom will warn him about fouling for ****, has let carelessness about where his punches land become an ingrained habit in him.
I saw one fight where I counted 17 (SEVENTEEN!!!!!!) blatant low blows before Micky Vann issued a warning to Hatton. After that he said he was going to take point for one more low blow 5 times, and never took a point.
It took a temper tantrum from his opponent's corner to even get him to acknowledge the fouling.

As long as there are fighters like Casamayor and Castillo around, Hatton will never have to worry about reaching the level of "dirty"

Miranda could learn a thing or 2 about how to throw an effective headbutt from Casamayor.

Funny, I've never clocked any low blows from the Paler (apart from THAT one against Zoo, of course). I was more taken with his holding Ray Oliveira's arm while hitting him.
