Norton/Cooney was also a vicious first round KO. Norton was a shell of his former self, but that knockout was very brutal. I felt bad for Kenny after that one.

Whitaker/Nazario was one of my personal favorites. Unified title fight and Pernell just flattens him with one perfect shot on the chin. Showed that he had some power, despite what others think. Pea actually had several first round KOs (even though they weren't against good competition).

He just caught Nazario on the chin with a bomb, nothing much you can do about that. Anyone who says he can't punch, tell that to Hurtado.

Yep. He could plant and crack you if he felt like it.

LOL, mostly all of my articles have been from old threads because they are topics that have interested me. In fact, my best article was recently about quitting, and you can find a thread from 2004 about that from me. You feel used? I work for free, join the club LOL

It was all about him digging his toes into the canvas and letting loose with the shot. He's a trained boxer, he knows how to punch. His style was to move and never plant his feet, so we didn't see his power really.

We do not feel used because we talk about the sport we love.
