Nobody said they were lucky but it was just 2 shots that did the damage apparently.

The cleaner punching by far came from Abraham, even if it was in bursts. There were enough of those bursts in the 1st half of the fight to give him a healthy lead IMO. Pretty much every time he let his hands go Miranda went reeling back across the ring.

The officiating was pretty apalling but even with the correct number of points deducted I'd have had Abraham winning by a couple of rounds, although I can see where you're coming from with the TKO.

Maybe you don't watch enough boxing, but Abraham's defense is to hold his gloves against his head. All night long Miranda pounded the side of his head and in between the gloves. Your NEVER gonna hit Abraham flush when he is running and covering up all night. The body was taken away from Pantera so he worked hard and did everything he could. Like I keep saying, it is amazing to me that Abraham withstood the abuse. He lost 1 litre of blood (apprx 20% of his total) and was able to stay on his feet. He deserves a lot of credit for that, but NOT the win.

Miranda is a busy aggressive offensive fighter. He is always gonna get hit more flush than a guy who crunches down and holds his hands against his head for 2 3/4 minutes of every round. If that's how your gonna judge the fight than there is no arguing with you. Abraham had some great flurries, but there were many others where most of his punches missed or were blocked. You could never tell by the crowd since they went crazy everytime he threw a punch.

Miranda was never in trouble as some people state. He tied up with Abraham or moved away whenever he was getting attacked, but came back strong immediatley.

That's an exageration and you know it

I'm not going to score sympathetically for Miranda because of his lack of defensive skill. If he get's heavily outlanded he loses the round. Blocked shots don't win you the round in my book unless the other guy's throwing very little to nothing at all, which wasn't the case. Sorry.

I had Miranda winning HANDILY! I scored it 10 rounds to 2 in favor of Miranda. With the point deductions, I had it 113-110. I could only give Abraham the first and eighth rounds, that's it! Miranda won every other round. The fourth was close, but even if it were given to Abraham, Miranda would still win by a point.

I had it about the same, but I gave the 4th to Abraham just because I knew it was close enough that the judges would never give it to Miranda that early in the fight. I would love to see the scorecards, anyone have them, or did Sauerland take these too?!?

You better hope Abraham never fights again...

Abraham won the fight, with a broken jaw for half the fight.. it was close, but Miranda took himself out of this fight thanks to his ****** low blows and the headbutt.. bring on the rematch to settle this already

All Abraham did was run like a chicken for 2 minutes out of every round and hold for the remaining minute. How many times did the ref tell him to stop holding and never deducted a point? How many times did the ref stop the action when Abraham would walk away from Miranda and turn his back to him and not take a point?

The ref did a terrible job in this fight and it cost Miranda his 0.

Okay, maybe you only saw the last 3 rounds of the fight or something, but if you watched the full 12, it's hardly the case of Abraham "running".. how can a guy that had Miranda hurt a few times in the fight be running for 2 minutes and holding for another? Sounds biased to me.... i give Miranda credit inthat i was impressed with his inside-fighting and his agressive style being able to go the full 12, but he threw too wide much of the fight, while Abraham was mythodical and accurate.. seriously PR, can't help but wonder if you saw the fight.. the ref did his job, Miranda's dirty..

The fight itself was close, some rounds must have been hard to score on the night with the long stoppages. Factor in all the points deductions and I think Abraham deserved to keep the title. A rematch is in order when Abraham is ready.
