to say he would have beaten morales an barrera is absurd

Hamed had way more talent than Hatton as a boxer but Hatton can keep improving and has some big fights ahead of him. I think Hamed was a very good fighter at his peak but started to think he was unbeatable. Barrera disabused him of that notion very quickly. Hamed's head got too big in the end and I guess he lost some of the hunger to box. I'm not a fan of either of them but Hatton is a good fighter in the overall scheme of things. I don't like his mauling and wrestling though.Comment

If Hatton beats Castillo and Mayweather, then Witter at the City of Manchester Stadium as a farewell fight, which he will IMO, he has surpassed Hamed in accomplishments by miles.
Phillips, Tszyu, Castillo, Mayweather..
The '94/'95 Naz would of beaten Barrera and Morales on the same night, and it's worth pointing out that Naz forced an all-time great in Barrera to completely change his boxing style. But Naz dipped terribly, after beating Robinson and leaving ITV, he was very lacklustre in his training from then on by all accounts and felt Allah would just steer him through everybody with his gifted power, there were flashes of the old Hamed against Badillo but that was pretty much it.
Hatton, like Hamed, was a special prospect. IMO he had even better skills than Hamed, and was even more exciting than Hamed, and the best body puncher I've ever seen. And he's still undefeated, and he's campaigning in the States.. he can definately surpass Naz if he hasn't already.
Are you serious with using Phillips?
Kostya, you can use him since somebody had to take advantage to knock him off the top...he had the belt so "you gotta do, what you gotta do"...I think Tszyu was/is still good, but he came back and started fighting top level guys to soon, just not enough time to get yourself back in the game...two major injuries and a long time away from the ring with few rounds is not good.
Castillo...hopefully he isn't to beat up to fight at a top level still
Mayeather...this will be his "Legacy" fight if Floyd is still undefeatedComment

Problem with Naz was that he failed to get his head out of his ass...he should have learned how to properly box so that at least if he wanted to use his unorthodox style, he could at least have the proper boxing skills as his backup, or mix them in.
I know Naz accomplished some things, but I am putting him in the box of "should have/could been better"Comment

Danny Romero, Michael Brodie, Vincenzo Belcastro, Freddy Cruz, Laureano Ramirez Padilla, Juan Polo Perez - all proved world-class fighters.. before he even fought for a world title.
Steve Robinson, Manuel Medina, Tom Johnson, Kevin Kelley, Wilfredo Vasquez (WBA champion), Wayne McCullough, Paul Ingle, Cesar Soto, Vuyani Bungu (his last 14 fights were world title wins), Augie Sanchez (beat Floyd Mayweather in the amateurs)..
It's not like he didn't fight anybody.Comment
