Not defending Certo's words, but obviously YOU'RE the one with the racist mind.

No way....NO WAY at all was Michael Nunn ever more talented than RJJ. Geoff I really think that you confuse the words talent and skill.

Nunn excelent talent and excellent skill. RJJ just freakish talent but average skill. Hamed Freakish talent below average skill. JT good physical talent great skill.

Juy Juy is on this quest to discredit Roy Jones Jr. & to make his favorite British fighters look better then him. But the fact of the matter is none of his heroes were as gifted or skilled as Jones.

Jones was a great athlete, but Nunn was more talented than Jones IMO.

Nunn was American, was not my hero, and was more talented than Jones.

ah, you mean boxing wise...Roy never learned how to properly box, neither really did Ali...they should of learned, especially Roy...both Roy and Ali got away with it for a long time because they were "freaks of nature"

There's just no way that Jones beats the '87/'88 Nunn IMO, I wouldn't put Jones in that bracket. Ali is the greatest man to ever box, but Nunn wasn't even on anybodies radar screens IMO.

Reminds me of Hagler and Leonard earning tens of millions but infact Not the two best middleweights in the world in 1987 - those were Sumbu Kalambay and Herol Graham (who fough eachother in a £50,000 fight). The bloated, over-rated Hagler/Leonard debacle was clearly not on the same skill level as the Graham/Kalambay fight.

Yes I know Nunn was American Jr.; the same Nunn that was KO'ed by Toney. The same Nunn that fought scared against Iran Barkley. The prime Jones that dominated James Toney would soundly defeat Nunn. Nunn was solid & had good skills but didn't have the style to beat a prime Jones so once again your off base.

Ok, please define for me your definitions of talent, atheltic ability and skill. Since you have them categorized as different things.

To me at athletic ability and talent are the same thing. Talent: Handspeed, reflexes, power, overall speed i.e. upper body and foot. How is this different than athletic ability? Talent = Athletic ability

Skill is: ability to time opponents, slip/roll punches, counter, footwork,....in short the things you learn and develope. JT comes to mind.

Now with that said you truly think that Nunn was the more Talented fighter? I would say the more skilled but not the more talented.
