The fact is... MAB is a *****.

1. Calling someone a "leftover" but hiding behind your promoter's skirt is a *****,

2. Hiding behind your promoter for 3 years is a *****.

I used to respect MAB after the first fight.

But after he called PAC a leftover but when PAC issued his challenge he backed off, one can't help but get pissed by the degree of pussiness. Plus the fact that MAB backed off from his word the last time.

A fighter who makes another fighter sign a contract which stipulates that he has to wear gloves not of his own choosing is a ***** and cannot be trusted.

Isn't Oscar Dela Hoya born in the US and represented the US in the Olympics(winning the gold by the way). Even though his Mexican by blood, he considers himself as an American(or Mexican American). But his also pround of his Mexican roots. So how did Oscar betrayed Mexico or trade what "trade his own country's gloves for an edge".

In a report on the Filipino Channel (available in many major markets/key US cities on cable), Dian Castillejos said, Freddie Roach has confirmed that Pacquiao has indeed signed a promotional agreement with Golden Boy. A voice clip of Roach served as authentication of the report.

Other details:

1. Pacquiao was given a signing bonus; reported figures range from US$330,000.00 to half a million. Roach himself refused to give the exact figure.

2. Part of the agreement is that Manny Pacquiao Productions, Inc. is going to have a piece of the promotional pie in future Pacquiao fights covered by the contract, on top of Pacquiao's fight purses and PPV shares. (according to Castillejo; no voice clip of Roach)

3. One of the seven fights (reportedly) specified in the contract is one to be held in the Philippines. Tentative date: March 2007. (according to Castillejo; no clip from Roach). It was not clear who shall be in the other corner.

4. A meeting with Barrera is also said to have been specified.(according to Castillejo; no voice clip from Roach)Where and when that shall be was not stated.

4. Manny (says Roach) does not have to worry about getting sued by Top Rank, Inc. The contract with Golden Boy Promotions shall take effect after the November date with Morales. Arum, therefore, does not have any basis for taking legal action. The prohibition imposed on Pacquiao concerning the involvement of a new promoter covers only the Morales 3 fight, and thus, has no effect beyond that.

Edit: Yes, Freddie is not a lawyer and his comments on legal matters may be best taken with a grain of salt. But, with the ring of confidence in his voice, one cannot help but think he has some legal minds looking out for his and Pacquiao's back and that those minds have assured them that there is no issue.
