I think there is many people who judge just by listening or follow the crowd.

next time if someone wanna make a point he should at least see couple of fight.

I seen Miranda with Eastman and I though it was Eastman mistake more than Miranda tech skills that won him. He have some power and eastman comes close range and bend down instead of box.

That is why i though Abraham would win by a late TKO

The weird thing is. I'd seen about three fights of both fighters (Calzaghe-Lacy) and STILL didn't think I knew enough to have an opinion. Yet the mountains of people that said their piece anyway on ZERO research was unbelievable.

Even funnier were the posters who accused me of being "biased" and "believing in nationalistic hype" when I said Joe would win on points, LOL.

I had it that way, but than their'd be a unification match between Tatlor and Smurf. Better the champions fight the losers of two close fights than unify with each other (I would guess...which ever way would be good )

But if he still think he could do it he should start a bit down of ladder and come up to Arthur and Taylor.
Fernando Vargas is done with boxing.

LOL I think it's so ridiculous how fans of the loser of a fight always want to see them in with the champ of the division instead of acknowledging they lost and are not as good as originally thought. This is boxing. Winners move on. Losers work their way back up.

Does anyone seriously think Barrera is gonna fight Barrios now that he lost? LOL, get out of here.

That's perfectly true, and I have no Welsh in me at all. (Though I have been IN Welsh).

However, 90% of this forum lack your educated insight.

I think what is was really is that Calzaghe has no big televised fights. People simply don't watch him. If Showtime gave up on him, that's pretty sad. He just didn't fight anybody good. Lacy was at least going after a guy with a title (Vanderpool) and fighting gritty contenders like Sheika and Pemberton and Reid, just going out there and putting on a good show. Calzaghe probably damaged his career beyond repair by wasting the last 4 years doing nothing. So to see Calzaghe fight, you either caught his few Showtime acts in 2003-2004 or downloaded one of 2 or 3 available fights, in at least two of which he gets knocked down by less than stellar punchers. People figured Lacy would crack his chin for good. You can't be blamed for picking Lacy because when a guy avoids good competition all his career and finally steps up against an unknown, you figure he avoided good competition for a reason. Picking Calzaghe to win really proved nothing. A bunch of homers picked him to win out of pride but even they had no idea Calzaghe was this good because he never proved it against good opponents. I guess what I'm trying to say is, nobody should have picked Calzaghe to win that except his family and the people that trained with him.

Great wisdom. Winners move on. Losers try to work their way back up.

Now that I see, Blow fought decent competition, its just his adversaries were not promoted well in US. Basically we judged against him because we did not know him nor did we know his opponents.
