in a way, dont u think we take him 4 granted?this era of the sport isnt exactly the best,we dont have more than 30 REALLY good fighters if that,in a sport with 1000s of fighters, and yet we still manage 2 critisize the good fighters we have got left,in a few years when more come along, and people say who was the best of ur era, were gonna say mayweather, unless some 1 pops up tomorrow better than him

There is a lot of talent around and I think Mayweather gets his due for the risks he takes. I mean, on paper, Baldomir is not even a close fight if you go on talent alone. It will become a big deal if Baldomir can somehow break into Mayweather, hurt him and have him digging deep.Originally posted by azza-mcin a way, dont u think we take him 4 granted?this era of the sport isnt exactly the best,we dont have more than 30 REALLY good fighters if that,in a sport with 1000s of fighters, and yet we still manage 2 critisize the good fighters we have got left,in a few years when more come along, and people say who was the best of ur era, were gonna say mayweather, unless some 1 pops up tomorrow better than him
Mayweather is so talented but he's only been recognized as the best fighter pound-for-pound for two years. Hopefully, he will be able to secure more defining fights so that when he does finally get beaten, people can't pick apart his career as they did with Roy Jones. -
exactly, but i think mayweather is much more clever than jones,he will know the rite time to retire, but mayweather scares me with how much he loves his money, that could ruin him
but either way,i think mayweather will be the MAN of this eraComment

By the time Jones started slipping and was beaten, he still had some work to do I think. there's no doubt that he beat some quality opponents, but there was a lot of **** on his record, too. I hope Mayweather erases all doubt.Comment

Only two things can stop Floyd: Money and weight. He might get too greedy and fight for too long or he might move up too high in weight, which could be anything more than Welter. He is the most talented fighter in the world, no doubt, but everyone loses sometime (almost everybody).Comment

It definitely helps Floyd that he moves to different weight divisions. Corrales and Castillo continuing to win big fights helps Floyd's legacy because he beat them. If he stayed in a division and dominated then nobody would know how good the other fighters in the division were.Comment

to see him beat,at the moment, would scar my love for boxin,i dno why,i dno how,but i think deep down, every 1 knows mayweather is the heart of boxin at the moment, hes not a slugger tryina entertain and win crowds, hes not a show boat(in the ring),hes the definition of boxing,a good all around technical fighter, just what we need, very talented fighter, peoples response to him turnin down margarito was pathetic, mayweather has done so much more than marg to get where he is,margs only claim to fame at the moment is mayweather turning him down, and for what?money, which is fair enough, coz at the end of the day,if mayweather beat marg,we wouldnt here of him again, marg would vanish, hes jus got a chip on his shoulder that a minority think he would beat floydComment

the best thing mayweather could do now is retire early like barry sanders and make everybody wonderComment

Only thing that could ruin him in my opinion is going past 154. He doesn't need to go to 160 and fight Jermaine Taylor who is much bigger and stronger than him. I think he can handle his money although he is a bit greedy.Comment

Yea..like wonder if emmitt would have ever even come close to the rushing record if sanders would have broke it first.Comment
