As much as would have liked a rematch I just think the boat has sailed on this one. There is no benefit to Trinidad especially as I see it. He loses and then everyone will jump on him and further question his first win. If he wins, he beat an old De La Hoya, etc, etc...There is just too much drama on this one, which would make it great for the promoters but who else?

This has nothing to do with divorces or anything, but whatever. If the contract stated that the winner would get the bigger purse in a rematch, well that's how it should have been or something similar. Frankly, I don't give a **** who wins what and no one should unless you live with Trinidad or DLH and will earn money for it. If they really want to settle their business, find a way and fight so we don't have any bitching and moaning from them or fans.

On the weight issue DLH has alrady stated that 160 was not a problem, he said he would come in lighter than that and let Tito be the slower person in the ring.

I have said this before, DLH does not want this fight, but insted of stating the obvious he starts to make excuses, contradictim himself and making himself look like a fool.

You don't call a retired boxer out and when he responds then think that he will fight for nothing compared to you. Tito is retired, do you get this point? Why call him out? We know the answer to this already.

I think 50/50 is fair. 160 was mentioned before and Oscar said it was ok. Why change everything? Are you getting the picture here now?

I have stated before I am a ODLH fan but his actions as of late are making him look bad.

Oscar way before tito retired the first time has call out tito but tito being a greedy guy wanted 60/40 back in 1999 and 2000 in his favor now tell me that makes sense, tito should get 60/40 in his favor back in 1999/2000 even though oscar is a way bigger draw then tito? did you know that was tito first ever main event ppv vs delahoya? ohhhhhhhh and now back then tito should get 60/40 in his favor for the rematch? lol that's like saying buster dougles should get 60/40 in his favor vs tyson in the rematch. Thats like saying rahman should have got 60/40 in his favor vs lewis in the rematch. The bottomline is this, oscar is a freaking bigger draw then tito. Oscar gets the most money. Oscar is a damn bigger star. Look at the ppv number between each of tito fights and oscar fights and you will see i'm right.

I do remember hearing that the reason for the rematch not taking place right away was because Tito wanted the bigger share of the pot, but I thought it was an ego thing.

Even still, this is business, Oscar is the one that generates the most money.


Let me give you another example: Say your in the band "The Police"...your name is "Sting"...you are the creative one in the band, you are the reason why people come see "The Police"...are you happy that you have to split the pot equally amongst your band members knowing full well that everybody is coming to see you, not the rest?
