Then i guess baldomir has a better career then oscar cause baldo beat the man who beat the man. For you to compare calazgue opponants to roy jones opponents is insulting. Jones beat way better fighters then calzague opponents. Jones two big wins was against a prime hopkins and back then the best fighter in the supermiddleweight in toney. Calazgue best win was against 1 demensional lacy and thats it. So like i said to compare calzague opponents to jones opponents is insulting.Comment

Originally posted by daggerdeuxSTFU, you first tried to compared Calzaghe to Roy then later made a ***** turn.
I compared the fact that Calzaghe doesn't get credit for fighting what you would probably call 'bums', but Jones does.
I also moved along a few other minor issues with Roy Jones' career, ***** turn? Please, I wouldn't give you the satisfaction.Comment

Originally posted by Shanus16Calzaghe has lived in one division his whole career, ONE division, not a strong division, but he's fought everybody, regardless of him being avoided by the other champion he shared the division with back in the day which is Sven Ottke, Roy took the easy route every time, and I find it hard for anybody to defend him on that and say that he didn't, he's ARGUABLY unified one division, which was the LHW division, and even that was shared, he had every other worthy title, apart from the WBO, which DM had owned for 10 years.Comment

I'm not saying RJJ doesn't deserve to be in there, if you've been reading a thing that I've been saying, I've said he does.
I find it funny people mention Ruiz, Gonzalez and Woods like they are ****ing worth mentioning? Ruiz wouldn't even be mentioned in the same breath as Wlad Klitschko, or even Sam Peter for that matter today, and he wasn't much better when Jones beat him either.
Half of the fans wouldn't even want to watch Calzaghe fight Woods right now, even though he beat Johnson, they would rather him fight Johnson, now Woods is a much more complete fighter (not complete, but MORE complete) than when he fought RJJ, but because RJJ beat him, he has to be a credible opponent, because RJJ fought the best of the best, right?Comment

Originally posted by Shanus16Who did Roy Jones beat that would put him in the HOF? APART from a young Hopkins and Toney. (Hopkins lost to a journeyman in his pro debut, but he was young, right? So of course that means he was in his prime, dat doo iz HOF!) And Toney isn't invincible either, he's lost to a few very beatable fighters.

Originally posted by daggerdeuxSo who did exactly CAlzaghe beat that is even comparable to Roy JOnes.
Jeff Lacy, Robin Reid, Mario Veit, Byron Mitchell.
Easily comparable to the opponents Jones fought post-Toney, except maybe Ruiz, as he was an actual deserving champion.Comment
