There was no 8 count genius, the ref got to about 2 while he was cleaning Marciano's gloves and then the fight continued. The ref never came close to saving Marciano from anything. If you've never seen the fight then don't talk about it. Marciano's era was weak, but so was Holmes' era and he was a great fighter. Just couldn't beat Spinks, a blown up light heavyweight lol
