    Do it doug!

I like the idea of a rematch. With all the shady goings on....it needs to happen again just to restore a little of my faith in the boxing world. Im not a big fan of either fighter at this point....but...that fight was one HELL of a judge-purchasing screwjob. Which..is pretty much par for boxing anymore. Make the fight.

I think a fight that close is worthy of a rematch, and it's a much better fight than Peter vs Maskaev anyway.

effetiveness would mean that his punches would have slowed Peter down (god, would that have been a nightmare), but they didn't
effectiveness would have meant he, in some small way, affected Peter's game, which he didn't

The only thing he did was give Peter a bloody nose, which that many jans to the face from a lightweight would have done.

On the other hand, Peter visibly moved Toney with his punches, wobbled him a few times and threaw Toney's game completely off. That's what effectiveness is.

        The first lesson is free.
Toney also stunned Peter once. Toney also had Peter swinging and missing alot. Rememeber even Al Bernstein thought Toney won, so its not just Toney fans. Alot of people in the boxing community feel that Toney won.

Actually Toney landed more punches and also landed the more of the effective punches. Peter missed most of his punches.

I don't really care if Al Bernstein thought Toney won! Half of the press can be full of **** half of the time, but your right most people had Toney winning the fight and also 75% of the press had it for Toney.

How can you call Toney's punches effective when they had abosultely no effect on his opponent?

I respect Al Bernstein's opinion, I think hes a smart guy and a knowledgable boxing analyst. Thats why I used him as an example.
