SHO is always the first Saturday of every month....
HBO is sometimes trying to steal the show as SHO is their # competitor..... plain and simple.
Exactly. HBO is consciously scheduling PPVs and WCB cards on the first Saturday of EVERY month as well, it's unreal. They did it in March (Cotto-Branco), May (De La Hoya-Mayorga PPV), August (Quartey-Forrest), and they are doing it every month for the rest of the year: Oct 7 (Valuev-Barrett), Nov 4 (Mayweather-Baldy PPV), and Dec 2 (Winky-Quartey).

It's intentional, and it sucks for boxing fans, who could conceivably have cards almost EVERY week on either Showtime or HBO (counting ShoBox and BAD) if they didn't do it so much on the same date.

But hey, this is what TiVO is all about.

HBO is scheduling against Showtime because Showtime already has their world championship caliber schedule predetermined.

It hurts the PPV's more than anything. If I'm going to watch one live and download the other, then it's obviously the PPV I'm going to download. No brainer.

              Exactly...

HBO is just screwing themselves up with offering a high profile PPV fight during a free World championship on SHO
