Hopkins vs. Tarver Poll...

Do any of you guys have eyes? I hate it when guys act like they cant see at all. Hopkins is a great fighter but there is no way in hell he wouldve beat Tarver if he didnt have to lose all that weight. It killed him and anyone can see that he wasnt the same fighter. All you guys do is sweat people but cant see the real.

That was not nearly the same Tarver. He had nothing. Hopkins wasnt all that great, Tarver was just nothing. You guys really believe that Hopkins is the only one who wouldve beat Tarver on that night? Alot of average fighters at LHW wouldve beat Tarver.

Still, I didnt care and I was glad because the only reason why Tarver beat RJ is because of the weight and everyone is still acting the same way. You guys cant even see that RJ was a totally different fighter and he wouldve kicked Tarver's ass if he didnt have to lose the weight. You guys are fools for thinking that Tarver's wins over RJ are real and for thinking that Hopkins win over Tarver is real.

The sad part is that once its gone, its pretty much gone forever. Just like RJ fell off, if Tarver & Hopkins had a rematch then Hopkins would kill him again but if Tarver never gained that weight then Hopkins wouldve never beat Tarver

Tarver won Jones twice even after he settled at LH.

the second fight with Jones was after he won the title from Johnson.

As far as I am concern it is alway hard to fight when you are drained espcailly if you where a HW and come down to LH.

I wouldnt say he would school traver but the fight would be closer and possabily a win by one point difference.

There's a difference between the weight Tarver had to lose & the weight Jones had to lose. Jones had to lose muscle whereas Tarver wasn't solid like Jones was & Jones had much less time to lose the weight. I think the weight loss affected Tarver somewhat but it was more so him underestimating Hopkins.

Hopkins is definitely a better all around fighter than Tarver. No one is debating that. But to say Tarver struggled with Roy because Roy had to lose 25lbs and then say Tarver didn't struggle with Hopkins because he had to lose 50lbs is absurd. Tarver proved in the rematch that he just had Roy's # and put that weight **** to rest for Roy.
