that obviously wasnt the same antonio tarver out there that night but most ppl hate the man too much to admit that. if tarver doesnt lose the weight and overtrain he could beat hopkins, most likely by KO. he wasnt even throwing his right hand in the fight and looked weak as hell and you cant deny that

I find it too convenient that Roy fans swear on the Bible the weight made him look bad against Tarver in the first fight but won't give Tarver the time of day.

Tarver talked such a big game before this fight and said he had a great camp. Plus isn't Tarver the one that said "no excuses". Also, wouldn't you agree Diego, that Bernard is the better fighter all around?

i bet if tarver were more humble and didn't act like a *****, then people would give him more credit and hate on him less. at first i liked him, because it was nice to see another articulate and intelligent black athelete who can say something else besides "thank god, jesus christ, i love my mama etc." mumbling n ****, when interviewed. when i noticed he was talking all this **** though, claiming he's one of the greastest fighters of all time, acting all cool with roy and hopkins to their faces, but then turning around in interviews or whatever and talking MAD ****. i was like "ok **** this *****". the fact that he gets lazy in his first fights, and has to have a rematch to get things done is annoying as well.

If Tarver hadnt had to lose the weight, he would have stopped Hopkins in 1.

Roy was at heavyweight for a FIGHT, not to make a movie.
And Tarver had more time as well.
                Not comparable.
                Sorry.

ur out of ur ****in mind. Tarver is overrated. Hop is a craftsman. A technician if u will, tarver closes his eyes and swings, hoping to get lucky. Hop was never knocked out, down but not out. What is ur basis for that absurd opinion ?

Tell me your kidding, nobody has ever even knocked out Hopkins in his career. Hes only been down twice, and that was like 15 years ago...

true that, you cant have it both ways

I feel that both Roy and Tarvers weight issues had some effect on their performances, but nevertheless, it was there choice to go up and then drop all the weight. And I still think B-hop would have whooped Tarvers ass
