I go along with most on this thread - Oscar De La Hoya ducked nobody. I can't understand how anyone can seriously claim that he did. Although i can see the attraction in a De La Hoya V Trinidad return it would go down in history as a rematch when both fighters were past their best, especially in Trinidad's case. I have mentioned on another post that it reminds me of the Leonard V Hearns rematch in that the fight was great to watch but you knew you were watching two fighters who were shadows of their former selves. In that respect, i think that Tito is asking for an excessive amount of money, i could understand him asking for such a figure as $30 million had the fight been an immediate return after the first fight. De La Hoya won't fight Trinidad on that reason alone... the money being talked about is ridiculous. De La Hoya certainly isn't avoiding Trinidad for any other reason, and IMO if the two did fight for a second time De La Hoya would stop Trinidad, and that would be a kind of retribution for him not getting the decision in the first fight. De La Hoya won at least 8 rounds in the first encounter IMO and if i get replies to the contrary i would like to know exactly what it was that Trinidad did to enable him to get the nod over De La Hoya. Sure, De La Hoya got on his bike for the last three rounds (which he received a lot of criticism for) but the fight was already won. Happy to discuss
Technically, Tito didn't do anything in his first fight with Oscar to deserve 30 million this time around and if Tito won't lower his price, it's cause he know's the same thing might happen again minuse the mistakes Oscar made, or he feels Oscar may knock him out....Because, Oscar mashed on Tito the first time around and Tito should be somewhat hungry to put that image of the bout behind him and redeem himself by takin this fight for a cool million in the teen's and let his fans know that he can beat Oscar...But no, instead this fight isn't gonna happen cause Tito is "ok" with gettin a gift decision. Oscar can deny the 30 mill to Tito and chill while knowing everyone else know's that he beat Tito the first time around. All this is a shame though..Cause this woulda been a good fight..

The funny thing is that Tito never mentioned Oscar's name after he became the man at WW and Oscar turned down 6 offers to fight him (Trinidad doesn't do the offers, King does). Now that we're waiting for a big show down between PBF and Tito, Oscar starts mentioning Tito all over and calling him out, the two of them obviously don't need the fight as they're both millionaires with good health and families. So, it must be REDEMPTION then??? HMMM, last time I checked, whether you like it or not, Oscar lost the fight. Does he really want redemption before retiring, or is he trying to **** with PBF's head and **** him over in the split like he does everyone else?
Now that you mention "gifts", how long have you been following Oscar? I've been following him for a while as I'm a fan of his, and let me tell you, he lost against John John Molina, then against Quartey, then against Trinidad (argueably, me personally saw it a draw) and then against Sturm. He got three "lucky" decisions out of those four. I guess winning a gold medal for the US, and fighting there does have its benefits.
Im just going to assume its charlie21 and he found a new fighter to nuthug and claim people ducked for today. Types the same, and has no real points. Fact is Oscar doesn't want to fight a washed up Tito, who cares besides PRs? Or people who hate Tito and want to see him massacred? I'd rather see him fight PBF as it will be one of the best matches "on paper" in a longgggggggggg time.

LMFAO!!! At 154 PBF doesn't stand a chance against DLH, he hasn't even tried the waters at that weight. Do you think he'll get a prep fight to gain some experience against a true 154 fighter before the DLH fight? NO. At 147 he struggled the first four rounds and got stunned by Judah until Judah got tired, imagine what one of the best 154 pound fighters of our era would do to him.
I'm not sure if Tito would get massacred against DLH or not, he's been off for a while and DLH hasn't been that active either, but it DLH fights Tito both will make more money and Tito stands a better chance against DLH than PBF does.
