    Sparring stories..

Tell me some good sparring stories, man.

    Here are some..

Tyson dropping Lennox Lewis inside 60 seconds when they were teenagers, then Lennox getting up and running away for the rest of the week he stayed at Catskills.

G-Man out-boxing Sugar Ray Leonard and Michael Moorer on the same night on his first-ever day at Kronk.

Evander Holyfield and Oliver McCall refusing to spar with G-Man because he hit too hard.

Eubank dropping Bomber Graham for the first time in his life (just before Bomber fought McCallum), but then Bomber getting up and Eubank not able to lay a glove on him for the rest of the session.

Reggie Johnson getting the better of Roy Jones in Pensacola in the fall of '91.

Tyson getting beaten up by sparring partners before he fought Douglas.

Naz getting beaten up by sparring partners before he fought Barrera.

Hatton dropped by a body shot from former British champ Pat Barrett when he was 15 (he'd never been so hurt from one punch and it gave him inspiration to introdude body punching into his style).

Sam Soliman claiming that Kostya Tszyu hit harder than middleweights.

I heard from an excellent source that Tyson hit Lewis early and stunned him (this was when Lennie was a BEAN POLE) winning the first round.

After that, LL took total control and Tyson never got near him. Apparently it ended when Lewis knocked Tyson out of the ring with a right hand.

Tyson was said to be terrified of Lewis ever since that fight. Legend has it that he ran away from camp because he was so humiliated.

            That seems quite unlikely.

I don't have any stories, but I did hear Tyson was getting beat up or whatever, I remember they said he busted his ass while in the ring.

I heard recently that Paul Williams hurt Antonio Margarito in a sparring session and that Margarito refused to spar with Paul after that.

I believe Williams claims it was a body blow that hurt Margarito.

You cannot be serious, Holyfield and MCCALL, two guys who have taken monsterous shots off the biggest hitting heavies, not wanting to SPAR with a super middleweight? I know he hit very hard p4p, but that is utter bull**** of the highest calibre man.

I doubt McCall would be scared of getting hit by a truck, let alone G man.
