To be kind to my UK buddies:

Hatton would have a hard time with any hard-punching, disciplined 147 pounder. He would have a hard time against any slick boxer.

    Now for my US buddies:

Hatton would get blown out of the water by any number of guys: Mayweather, Baldomir, Judah, Margarito, a foucused Collazo, Mosley.

Hatton would lose a tough contest to Castillo, Cotto, D. Hopkins and probably Paul Williams.

Where does that put Hatton? Right in the middle of the pack- above ordinary and below great. Hatton is way overrated and once the American refs start penalizing him for his "Hit, Kidney Punch, Clinch, Rabbit Punch, Clinch, Hook, Clinch" style, he will be forced to be who he really is: I decent fighter with an ok punch, ok movement and a good chin. Nothing special. Sorry, Brits.

Collazo was able to hurt Hatton and Zab has much more power than Collazo. Also Zab is a slick southpaw which is known to give Hatton problems.

I think those factors give Zab a good chance at beating Hatton.

seriously, if collazo was a true champ. he would have KO'd ricky

zabs got the southpaw advantage over hatton and thats it , hatton would put zab on the back foot and take zabs heart and mind away from the fight and he will walk into somut he wont like and wont get back up , zab aint got the mind focus to beat hatton no matter wat stance he is

I would favor Cotto, Castillo and PBF at 140; Cotto, PBF, Collazo, Williams, Quintana, and Sugar Shane at 147. Margarito, Zab, and Witter would all be toss-ups IMO. Hatton is a good fighter, but I'm not sure if he can beat the top fighters in either division.

the hold and hit parade will be stopped in january when urango starches him. Hatton is a very ordinary fighter. Due to his hometown refs letting him cheat he has somehow been propelled into eltie status, all the while he hasn't fought one prime elite fighter. the wanker is way overrated

I think part of the reason Hatton was hurt was because he was starting to get tired down the stretch...when you are fatigued every punch starts to hurt.
