I'm very excited to see this come off. It gets Miguel in with a true WW and it's for the WBA title. Quintana is a southpaw but he's not really known for his power even though he can crack. It will be interesting to see how Cotto handles the weight and the power.

My money is on the Puerto Rican.

I think Quintana has more pop than was initially thought. I think that he was able to establish some respect from Joel with some of his pop.

Towards the late middle rounds you also saw Quintana sitting on his punches a lot more. Very good fight matchup from a fans perspective.

            Of Course it is.

It will genarate more money and perspective to both fighters.

It would be like Ali-Frazier or MAB-EM.

They both wanna prove who is the best in PR

So outside of Mayweather and Baldomir(who are not available) who at 147 is clearly better than Quintana that Cotto can fight?

Horrible choice. Talk about a fighter that keeps ducking top tier talent. He is a champion that keeps fighting tune-ups.

Who at 147 could he fight thats available and better than Quintana? I'll answer for you, NOBODY. SO SHUT THE *** UP. Cotto vs Quintana is a very tough fight for both guys. Both great fighters, both very strong, both very skilled, both undefeated, both from Puerto Rico. This is going to be a great fight. I think Cotto pulls it off though. Then bring on Margarito, Mayweather or whoever.

Cotto hasn't really fought anyone either. If Cotto had Julio on his resume, it would be one of his best 'W's...

                      Luis Collazo, maybe?

I don't dislike Quintana as an opponent. I'd be interested to see if Cotto looks impressive vs. Quintana. I'm still not sold on Cotto being a 'top-tier' fighter.

Hopefully he'll continue to schedule competitively and we'll see a fight vs. Mosley or Mayweather or Margarito in 2007...
