Woods: "Witter Can't Hang With Hatton"

Yep, Junior might be able to step it up when he needs to, but it has been proven that Hatton can also step it up when he needs to. And Hatton has more credentials than Witter, so I would take Hatton in that match up.

Like Woods said he could hang with Jones Jr, Yeah right that cat had his ass handed to him like Hatton would hand Witters ass to him, I know three fighters in my gym that would knock the **** out of Witter

Good point, though i don't think Witter has fought the same class of fighter as Ricky Hatton. I think Witter will outpoint Corely, but if i'm honest i think Hatton would get the better of Witter.

When did he say that, before their first fight? It's a sad reflection of how far Roy has fallen that a second fight would probably see him as the underdog.

I like Witter and feel he's got dealt a ****ty stick throughout most of his career. However, I can't imagine him being able to beat Hatton as his stamina isn't first-rate and Hatton's sadly is.

After the Vilches fight, and after Witter looked so sharp against that Italian guy (Batti-something?), people were saying Witter would take him. Before the Tackie fight, people were saying Witter would take him (but then they realised that Hatton could box).

Since the Oliveira, Tszyu and Maussa fights I think it's now clear to everybody that Hatton is on another level, although some people will be pointing to Hatton's performance against Collazo (and not realising that it was a conditioning thing) but now he'll blow away his next opponent while Witter struggles and they'll say 'okay, Witter CAN'T get the better of Hatton' and hopefully it'll stick this time

I think it's unfair to say that Witter couldn't live with Hatton though, Witter is good! He could live with anybody..

But blowing you away with his technical skill against Oliveria, getting the better of an Elite all-timer in Tszyu, and going at the awkward Maussa non-stop (because they felt Maussa couldn't fight being backed up) before a one-shot KO pretty much stamps it that Witter is not on Hatton's level.

                    Rubbish.

Witter won four of the first six rounds against Judah, Judah won four of the first six against Mayweather. Based on that alone, he lives with Mayweather. He doesn't beat Mayweather, and isn't near as good as Mayweather, but he lives with him just based on that alone!

He beat N'Dou more impressively that Cotto did, based on that alone he lives with Cotto.
