Where have you gone Prime Andrew Golota

Boxing desperately needs an infusion of excitement.

Boxing is better off without that nutcase. He was given more chances than any contender I can name off the top of my head and ****ed up almost every time. I'm the last person on this forum to ever bring up race in regards to a fighter being priviliged because of it, but if there's anyone who's benefitted from being white in boxing in recent history it's Golota.

golota is a sad story of someone who never lived up to their potential...he had talent, but mentally, he was weak

This guy had some good potential but is one of the most mentally unstable fighters to step into the ring.

Spam because it's true? Name another contender who continued to foul out, get stopped early, and otherwise fail every time he stepped up to bat and continued to get title shots? After fouling out against Bowe twice and getting KO'ed by Lewis once he quit against Michael Grant, quit against Tyson the next year, took three years off and then fought a nobody and a journeyman and was awarded a shot at Byrd's title for no good reason whatsoever.

The guy did not deserve as many chances as he was given. In his last fight, which was seen as a do or die fight for him, he was stopped in the first round by Brewster when he completely folded.

Sadly, I STILL have a feeling that if he came back and knocked out some lowly journeyman, he would get a shot at one of the belts.

Your right Kid. Golota had way more opportunities than he deserved and he managed to piss them all down his leg.

Mike Tyson comes to mind. I don't think race is the issue.

Golota keeps getting chances because :
                    1. He's got a certain level of popularity. Part of it is his Polish fan base. Part of it is people waiting for a return of 'Prime Golota' they saw in the Bowe fight.
                    2. Champs know they can't lose to him.
                    3. He signed with Don King, who has a lot of title-holders signed to him
