For casual fan Tito is still magic man, and no pretty shoulder roll, no matter how beautiful for estets, will be as meaningful as Tito's offense to a casual fans. Casual fans dont watch boxing, they watch knock outs. And when guys like Tito(and DLH for that matter) are fighting, they appeal to your casual fans much more then PBF and his antics.
But right now, I dont think DLH/trinidad will happen.Comment

I seriously doubt people that aren't Mexican or Puerto Rican want to see this. De La Hoya easily controlled the first fight and deserved a victory. The rematch will be a blowout. I'd pick Oscar to knock him out in all honesty. Trinidad has been completely outclassed by the three best boxers he fought, stopped by one, dropped a decision to one, and got a bull**** decision against this one, which is the only reason a rematch is even being discussed. This fight won't do anything for DLH's legacy because Trinidad was already embarrassed twice since his embarrassing should-have-been defeat against Oscar. Mayweather is undefeated and the pound for pound king. Mayweather-DLH is the fight to make. If Oscar fights Trinidad, I'll never be able to find it in my heart to forgive him. Not after talking about fighting Mayweather for so long and bailing out. I know Oscar doesn't want to retire with a loss to Mayweather, but going out with an easy win over Trinidad means less to me than a close loss to Mayweather, who could be one of the top 3 greatest fighters of all time by the time he retires. I'll lose a lot of respect for Oscar if this Trinidad fight happens, and I'm pretty sure I'm not alone in that.Comment

I hope everybody gives DLH **** for this like they have been giving Mayweather for not fighting an [unproven, not a star] Margarito. This is a way bigger duck than that. WAY BIGGER.Comment

Anyway, I was talking purely from a business standpoint, why DLH/Tito will make more money and gather more publicity. PBF is not long enough in a spot light to be as distinguished as Tito nor does PBF's style(not that I somehow downgrade his skills) is exciting enough for average people.
LEt me ask you something, do you think an average Joe will be able to distinguish the beauty of pcket defense and countering?
I highly doubt, but what I am sure about is that average fan will be able to say "holy ****!" when he sees a huge punch landed. From that point Tito wins .Comment

Boxing needs Mayweather-Hatton, DLH is a lost cause, his whole career is built on Trinidad which is why he echos his name 24/7. Boxing needs a clean start, and comeback after blowing the 90s and early 2000s
Mayweather-Hatton is a new fight, DLH-Mayweather is meaninglessComment
