    Hobson's an amateur.

But I have to admit, 100x more people know who Woods is after his last fight (on ITV)..

That was a spectacular own goal by Franky, cos you see in his and Joe Blow's face that they were dying for Johnson to take it, couldn't you?

It'll probably be better for Woods if he takes on one of those guys anyway.... Jones Jr. has nothing left at top level, and he can at least gain satisfaction of avenging that loss, albeit in an undignified way.

If Woods gets - and beats - Tarver (which isn't impossible, particularly as Tarver has awful stamina) he'll be able to become the Ring's Light-Heavy champ, as Tarver is still #1 and his win over Johnson presumably puts him in the top three.

'Rocky' Warren is a funny guy, I like him, just because I find him so funny.

I love how he's always shouted advise to his fighters during fights, despite knowing **** all about boxing outside of the business side.

And I love his wankerishness, and stubborness, if those are the right words. Anybody who turns him down, doesn't sign for him, he rages war against.
Eubank, Lennox, Audley, Froch, Haye.. "in his world he number one" as Eubank once said, and it didn't suprise me that Warren made Eubank keep coming back to his office every day for two weeks when every time he said he was busy - and how Eubank explains it was just a form of 'one-upmanship' that failed. If you get me? No, you probably don't.

I'll never forget Warren and King at the King's Hall, roaring exaggerated approval if Close landed a punch and punching the air after every round - just to try to sway the judges (because they wanted Close in a unification with Little - which would of been laughable, but more because Eubank and Hearn had turned down a role in Warren's and King's plans). Then when Eubank gets the (deserved) decision, they say aloud the 'WBO should be barred from boxing' ****, and then, and then, within four years most of Warren's fighters are or had been or had fought for the WBO title.

When American Oliver McCall knocked out British Lennox Lewis, 'Rocky' Warren was jumping for joy.

Warren doesn't even like Danny Williams, but was jumping for joy when he knocked down the guy who turned him down.

If Froch loses, you wait, you just wait! Warren would be ribbing him in his News of the World column for a year.

          No, I get you, Juice.

His NOTW column is a horrible trash column where anyone signed to him is glorified but - more especially - anyone NOT signed to him is trashed. I think the only person I've only seen him say anything remotely nice about that wasn't with him is his belief that Hatton on form would beat Floyd. Oh, he also said about Audley that "there's nothing wrong with his technique" which I guess qualifies as begrudging praise...

He doesn't even like Danny Williams, Warren. He was jumping for joy 100% because Audley Harrison turned him down, and for 'one-upmanship' sake. It could of been Terry Marsh knocking Audley down, and 'Rocky' would of done the same.

I read that Warren said Floyd would beat Hatton.

But I guess that was after Hatton left him?

Where did he say this? Did you read him saying it, or did you just read someone saying he said it?

Sorry, I meant Little not Liles.

Yeah, they wanted hold of the WBO and WBA titles (the loser of the proposed, laughable Little-Close unification would be dumped) so that Eubank wouldn't be able to get his hands on another world title - Benn was already with them and none of them wanted to give Eubank another payday with another Benn fight. That was really wankerish I thought, knowing Eubank would have to fight either James Toney, Mike McCallum in an eliminator, Dariusz Michalcewski in an eliminator, Virgil Hill in North Dakota or Henry Maske in Germany.
