Floyd will never see the kind of money Oscar will bring without him though. Floyd needs Oscar more than Oscar needs Floyd.

It never ceases to amaze me how people being confident in themselves in an internview, all while showing respect to oscar and his ability to draw, seems to elude you. Mayweather awknowledges Oscar doesnt need floyd to make money, but says the biggest fight is with him, all of this is true, how did you NOT read that? Its as if you go in with a pre-thought agenda to say that no matter what Floyd WOULD HAVE said.

If u want to be mad, be mad at the reporter who asked him the ??, why arent they asking more about his fight with Baldomir which is actually about to happen.
He didn't say if he needs the most money and a real challenge, his exact words were "He's Oscar De La Hoya. He's always going to be able to make good money. But if wants to make his biggest payday and great money, he's going to have to come my way". I could understand if he said if he wants the best challenge, but he is speaking about the money. The way he made it sound as if Oscar needs him, and all I am pointing out is that is not true. Statements likie that show his arrogance. I'm not hating, I'm just taking the words that came out of his mouth.

But when does Floyd disrespect oscar and not give him his due? This is how Floyd feels, its his opinion, it could be his biggest payday, but if he goes and fights trinidad, no one will give a ****. What do you want floyd to do, concede that hes not who he thinks he is? The greatest fighter on the planet? He has to think that, and along with that comes the feeling that your worth alot of money, you cant sit here and say other fighters dont do the same **** but in a different manner, floyd is just upfront.

Of course he is gonna give Oscar props, and try and show respect. You think he is gonna come straight out and dog him, he sees those dollar signs in his sights and doesn't want to **** that up. You think he really genuinely means that ****. I don't think anyone thinks he is really sincere about what he says. He wants that payday.

Obviously. Oscar is the biggest name in boxing right now.

Both guys are just setting up the negotioations and both guys know it. Oscar knows that he doesnt want to fight Tito but he doesnt want to give Floyd a boat load of the money either. Floyd knows that Oscar is blowing smoke with Tito and he is just trying to not give Floyd all the money. Thats why Floyd always tries to play it off like he doesnt need Oscar because if Floyd says anything else then Oscar will **** him at the table.

The deal will get done because despite what either say, they both want this fight and soon, they both know its the biggest money fight in boxing, and they both know it means everything for there legacy. There will be some broken hearts in the negotioations but both will end up ok & both will have to give in some.

This is just posturing so I dont know why all of you keep speaking on it like it means something

Regardless of what everyone thinks, it's all about MONEY. Remember Oscar is going to "retire" after this so regardless who he fights ****** mexicans are gong to purchase his PPV with any of the two fighters mentioned. If he fights Tito which I really dont see why tito would bother, and wins he leaves the sport beating a guy who he thinks he beat initially but lost in reality. He fights Floyd, he could be embarresed by a young ****y fighter who happens to be black. So, with all that said he will probably put twenty mil on tito's lap bring him out of retirement and lose, but they will both be extremely rich by the end of the fight regardless of the outcome. Now If I was floyd I will play the same games Mayorga played and make Oscar want me instead of him wanting me.
