Hamed that i recall may have been put down by Johnson or Medina i may be wrong but i remember him being down before, if not down i remember him being wobbled. If his fights went past 7 rounds they were boring. With fighters less talented he looked good, with fighters at of near his level he usally looked like crap. Hamed would get a prime Morale and Barrera not the one Pacquiao is getting, so don't get that confused. Again, remember Hamed ducked/avoided Marquez and had some help from the wbo and friends.
Well it looks like I know more about Morales than u do about Naz. So u can talk about Naz based on wat u know. And i can talk about Morales based on wat u know.

Morales would have stopped Hamed at 126. Hamed chose to fight Barrera at 126 instead of Morales because he felt Barrera was the most beatable of the two. Turns out even the most beatable of the two was not beatable enough for him.

He was found wanting at an elite level... thats just the truth.

How do u know that that was the reason Naz fought Barrera?
I think at the time Barrera was the bigger name and the obvious choice.

Actually Barrera as good as he was, wasnt the bigger name at the time. Erik Morales was the bigger name and the bigger draw at the time and probably still is.

Morales had even just stopped Kevin Kelley making the matchup even more talked about and intriguing.

That poster who said Barrera and Morales ducked Hamed is just laughable

I've read several articles in the past that Hamed ducked Marquez. Is there any proof to this? If that's true, then it's a smart decision for the Prince because Marquez would've schooled him worse than MAB did.

Yup Hamed avoided Marquez like the plague.

I really dont want to stereotype... but talking to Americans and Mexicans about Naseem Hamed is basically pointless. Thats the only truth.

I expect a reaction for what I said... but its obvious that Americans who lean towards supporting humble, exciting fighters like MAB and Morales, rather than Naseem Hamed, are going to react predictably. Equally Mexicans are going to show bias in favour of anyone else, other than Hamed, no matter who they are.

I quoted Larry Merchant as describing Marquez as an up and coming fighter, a baby in the game... in 1998. That basically summarises the whole Marquez debate really. But nope, im arguing with extremely biased fans who will repeat "he ducked Marquez" over and over without entering into any other train of thought.

                  Maybe.
But im sure the fact that most thought Barrera beat Morales in their first fight gave him the edge.

You could say the same about fans from UK especially Hamed supporters. You want to talk about comments by commentators, According to the UK comentators for the Barrera Hamed fight , "Hamed was found wanting at this level" (The Elite Level).

Hamed's fight with Barrera was his test to see if he was an Elite Fighter, and he failed it miserably.

That was the truth. Hamed didnt belong at the Morales, Barrera, Marquez level.

                      Yeah in 2001.

Barrera, Morales and Marquez didnt belong in Hamed's league in 1995/6/7/8/9 really. Argue that.
