I don't know why, but I think Morales had Naz's number.. stylisticly speaking.

Hamed was a shadow of his former self by the time a Morales fight was talked about. I think Morales would of constantly landed his shots first.

Possibly...I think the only two guys in the world during that time that would have a chance at beating Naz would have been Barrera and Morales. It would have been a beautiful fight to watch tho.

So there WAS talks of putting them both in the ring? I agree that by the time he fought Barrera, the blueprint was set on how to beat him. But before he lost focus and thought he was greater than the sport, it would have been a great matchup.

From 94 until 2000 neither Morales or Barrera wanted anything to do with Hamed. He was the best featherweight of the 90s easily...

In 1998 when Hamed schooled McCullough Barrerra was supposed to be next. This was the same night that he took out Richy Wenton (is that his name?) for the title. However Barrera's management team didnt feel they were right for the fight at that moment. Morales was being called out in 99 after the Vuyani Bungu fight, or that may have been 2000. Either way, he didnt want to get it on either...

In terms of who would have won. 1995 Hamed wins. Im telling you guys, and I have to keep repeating it. He was the best featherweight you are ever gonna see for raw skill, talent, showmanship, natural reflexes... but nope, people just wanna look at post Ingle 2001 Hamed. Seriously, go back to 1995 onwards and you will see what the **** I keep repeating myself for.

Post millenium Morales TKO's him down the stretch.

And Morales was only a baby himself in 1995..

Oh, I agree with you in that before he left Ingle, there were few IN THE HISTORY of the sport that could have touched him. I still wont go as far as to say he was the GOAT in that division, but you could make the argument. It's interesting to hear tho that they were gonna try and face up.

Precisely. Hamed has his place. MAB and Morales have their place.

So now can we put an end to "MAB OWNED HIM LOLS". Its a different era of boxing the time they fought, as far as im concerned.

Yep 1996 was the first mention of Barrerra fight with Naz. Around the time he beat Said Lawal, Daniel Alicea and Manuel Medina... that was when Barrera came into the picture a little. Morales was a lot later.

I didnt mean he was the GOAT. I just meant he was the best featherweight of the 90s. And not a bad little bantamweight it must be said aswell.
