Baldomir is going to wear him down and steal the latter rounds of the fight, earning him a close UD.
I don't know about that, Mayweather has incredible stamina. I like Baldomir, I like his in your face style & how he taunts people into brawling with him, but I don't think he's got anything on PBF, but hey stranger things have happened.
Baldomir's only chances to win this fight are by wearing him down and throwing way off his game plan, like castillo did twice, or PBF underestimating him and trying to trade in the pocket with a much bigger man.
Supposedly Baldomir walks around at 180+ lbs thats one hell of a weight difference. If Floyd's smart and boxes easy UD!
A knockout I don't see happening. But a UD is entirely possible if Baldomir really pours on the pressure and doesn't relent. I realy think he will fight Mayweather on more even terms than it looks on paper.
If you lived in the 1940's and watched Jake LaMotta and Ray Robinson both train in the gym, you'd probably want to bet the house on Ray, but come fight night the larger, aggressive swarmer with tons of intangibles on his side, heart being one of them, performs very well for his apparent lack of athleticism. Baldomir is Mayweather's LaMotta. I'm not saying Baldomir is the same class of opponent as the Bronx Bull, but he is a larger framed, very aggressive guy who's harder to hit and harder hitting than his record indicates.
I see this fight as being very close, the victor winning by a round or three.
A late stoppage isn't impossible; but, personally, I wouldn't bet on it. Floyd's got a championship heart, me thinks...which would mean he'd hang in there if he did get rattled, which is not out of the question.
I do believe that Baldomir can get Floyd out of his game, though...which could give Carlos a decision in the end....and I wouldn't be surprised if he drops Floyd at some point.
I like the fact that alot of people believe that Baldomir has what it takes to take it to PBF, but I hope that once the fight happens if Baldi loses I don't want to hear the same people saying Baldomir was a bum
Impossible no. Nothing in boxing is impossible, except maybe James Toney weighing 220 or less again.
But very improbable. The difference between Mayweather and another mega talent named Zab Judah is character. Mayweather has a lot of it. He trains like a spartan, comes to fight, he fits the bill of a champion. He does not waste his talent or look past his opponents. The kid is a hard worker with plenty of skill and stamina.
Baldomir is a heavy handed guy but no dynamic knockout artist. Mayweather has a pretty good set of whiskers I think, great conditioning, and of course awesome upper body movement and reflexes. He may get hurt or dropped, but as much as I think Baldomir will beat him, I also see him going the distance.
Still, anything can happen in boxing.

If Mayweather beats Baldomir he'll have proven himself against a big strong welterweight who has guts and underrated skill and ring awareness. He'll also be the welterweight champion of the world.
I already give Mayweather the distinction of being the best P4P fighter in the world, but if he beats Baldomir, especially in a dominant fashion, he cements his claim to that title in my eyes even more.

Oh, Baldomir is No Bum; but, remember.....Floyd is "supposed" to beat him. Now, that's not saying anything derogatory about Floyd as much as it's pointing out the expectations. If Floyd beat Baldomir convincingly, I will indeed give him credit for beating a genuine tough guy, as I have always given Floyd credit for beating credible opponents. I do not, however, think this fight will be as easy as some do. Floyd's very gifted; but Baldomir's a throwback. His attitude alone is going to make this a hard fight for Floyd. He's been around too long and fought too many guys to give Floyd the kind of respect some of his opponents have. This is gona be a good fight.

baldi is a real old school guy, he is very dedicated to training and very solid and dependable, he always gives a consistent performance on fight night. he's also a guy who walks around at, i hear, 190 lbs and makes welterweight, somehow. floyd can't push him around, baldi will be too big and strong. the speed and talent are heavily in pbf's favor, but baldi can time his punches. i'll be very surprised if pbf wins this fight, and not just because baldi hasn't lost a fight since 1998
