The Floyd fight makes more sense for Floyd, Oscar, the fans and the sport of boxing, but you never know what could happen. Tito would more than likely take less money for a one-fight comeback than Floyd is trying to make, which would make Oscar consider it. IMO, this is a ploy by DLH to screw PBF over in the money department. Has Tito said anything about this yet????

You guys are insane if you think the public will just go crazy for a Oscar-Tito fight. I admit that Tito is a bigger name then Floyd but when you throw in Oscar, Floyd is the much bigger fight due to the fact that people know its a new fight, Oscar's last fight, its against the #1 rated guy in the sport, his father trains Oscar, and Floyd is a American. This fight would be way bigger then a Tito fight. You think people are going to go crazy about seeing a guy who is basically retired, has looked like crap in his last couple of fights, and is not any kind of ranked guy?

The Floyd fight will make way more money and everyone says that
Sorry, you nearly hit the nail on the head but ended up seeing it how you wanted to see it.

You are right that Trinidad is a bigger name than Floyd (a lot bigger)

You are absolutely right that to us, non casual fight fans Floyd vs Oscar might be more compelling.

But there is the problem, IT IS CASUAL fight fans that outnumber us and pony up the most dough. And to them Floyd Mayweather is someone they might have heard, if you are lucky, but they have no idea who he actually is, What hes done, and what boxing analysts say about him, much less the meaning of a fight with him.

However THEY ALL KNOW WHO OSCAR DLH IS, THEY ALL KNOW WHO TRINIDAD IS, THEY DONT KNOW THAT THEIR ERA IS GONE, AND THEY ALL KNOW THE HISTORY OF THE FIRST ONE AND WHY THE REMATCH IS IMPORTANT.

Look guys, when I 1st heard about this fight a few months ago, I thought mostly the same as you but then every single expert said that it will be Oscar's biggest money fight, even bigger then the Tito fight was, it will probally be the biggest money non HW fight in history, and maybe the biggest money fight ever.

You still have to think about the subplots. Even Mexicans & Ricans will still want to see Oscar vs Floyd and more people are starting to know Floyd now. He's not the same guy he was 2 years ago. His last couple of fights with Gatti-Zab and he's TV apperances have made him a bigger name.

People also know your status. Even if a person doesnt know who Floyd is at all, when you tell them that Oscar is having his last fight against a guy who is undefeated, rated as the best fighter in the world, and his dad trains Oscar, everyone will want to see that fight. You guys cant just keep blowing this off. Even think about us on these boards and think about the fight being close. There will be a much more bigger buzz about a Floyd fight then Tito

            EDIT: i agree with ultimate

its the biggest money fight for floyd but not all around. tito and oscar by them selves are arena sell-out fighters, as popular as PBF is getting he still rubs some people the wrong way.

I have to agree with you. With the storylines that could be made from Floyd-DLH, it could be VERY successful with the right promoting. Both DLH and Floyd will be doing a ton of promoting. Tito and DLH is a great story at first, but the casual fans also know that Tito has not looked great in his last fight and has been "retired". When it comes down to it, how many people are going to shell out $50 for a guy who hasn't fought in two years over the #1 P4P fighter in the world?

                  Link to experts opinion?
Well let me ask you something, who nominated them to be experts, do they have a phd in boxology?
I can write up an article saying Peter is the most technical fighter ever, and I will have just as much weight, saying that, as these so'called experts. Use your own head, if you are in boxing long enough, these experts dont hold any edge or advantage over you, in understanding of the business.
