Trinidad a Second Choice For De La Hoya

Recently, WBC junior middleweight champion Oscar De La Hoya revealed to a group of boxing writers at Il Postino restaurant in Manhattan, that he would be willing to face Felix "Tito" Trinidad on May 5, if negotiations fell apart for a proposed bout with Floyd Mayweather, Jr. De La Hoya and Trinidad have apparently had recent conversations in Puerto Rico with respect to a rematch, a bout De La Hoya says his fans want most. Well, at least DLH admits that Mayweather is the bigger challenge and the more meaningful fight.

I'll take Tito-DLH II only if the Mayweather fight just cannot be made, and I don't mean a little snag, it would have to be an issue of Floyd wanting parity or somesuch.

The only way I will pay to see these 2 fight again, if Oscar promises that it will be a good fight.

I'm not going to get screwed again by these 2.

The first fight was anti-climactic. What makes ppl think the second will be any better? All that hype and Oscar ran like a little chicken after the 9th round. Did Tito punish him that much in that round that Oscar was afraid of being KO'd? We all know he fades in the later rounds.

Either way, I'd rather see Mayweather completely frustrate Oscar and humiliate him. Also, I doubt Tito will return to boxing.

Tito keeps telling the local media there's no way he's coming back, BUT, why the hell is he training then?

I think Mayweather-DLH could suck if Floyd's handspeed is still very good. Oscar might do something but I think Floyd would win. This fight still could sell since they'll say it'll be better than the first and they'll settle it or whatever.

At 154 Oscar has a good chance. I have no idea how Floyd would be at 154. I think he slowed a little at 147, but then again in the Judah fight he took his time and he had those big ass Christmas trunks on. Floyd has very good defense so I doubt Oscar would be slapping him around.

Lets call it fair both ways Public Relations, lets call it both ways.

Oscar fades in fights, yes sir he does and you correctly pointed that fact out.

What you failed too mention is that your boy cant box...2 super fights with Winky and Bernard and both could have been turned off after 3 rounds and not by just boxing fans but by Puerto Rican boxing fans as well.

Oscar fades like a suit and Tito is very limited when he is not in with a guy that is not willing to mix it up a bit.

Your right PR, I'll take Mayweather vs. Goldie too, good post!
