Zoo may not have a ton of fights professionally but his amatuer background was quite lengthy and the fights he was in during his profgessional career were fights where he took punishment to win.

Check out Hurtado, Urkal, Phillips, Hatton...the guy is not young!
True with some fighters, but not with Tsyzu!

Going up in weight at an old age sure worked for Castillejo against a young 'champ'. The same Castillejo who was handled by a shot Vargas.

However, there is little doubt Margarito would be a tough task, more like moving up two weight classes with the size disparity. I agree that Cotto would be a better welter comeback opponent for Tszyu.

i think Tszyu should take a couple of warm up fights before jumping into the mix like that. going right in after his loss and after all that time off, he would be doing himself a great disservice by doing so. having to deal with ring rust, timing, stamina, as well as being mentally prepared to fight after retiring on your stool in your last fight, i don't think it's the smartest move to fight Margarito as a first fight back.

Tszyu is moving up in weight too, the odds are stacked against him if he takes this fight.

i would expect Margarito to stop Tszyu after 9 rounds, sad to say, Tszyu has been one of my favorites, the guy is a true calss act and i thought a great champion.

Holyfield has 49 pro fights and so does Wladimir Klitschko, but you cannot compare their resumes and the toughness of their opponents...

Holyfield went to war to get those wins, where Wlad just cruised through most of his fights....

De La Hoya has 42 pro fights and he is only 33.. a young 33. But most his fights, like Holifield's were wars and he took a lot of punishment to get those wins.

My point is that the # of fights and the age mean ****

Kostya should stay retired, he doesn't have his heart in it anymore and will get beaten again just because of that.

Isn't Antonio Margarito supposeded to be a suck ass fighter? According to many of you! Now some of you who have hated on Margarito are picking him to win over Tszyu?

scap is right, you are wrong. Kostya has taken brutal punishment in many fights. That's always been his style. He never minded getting hit, and has always been willing to trade and mix it up. The rougher the better. And he's fought a lot of tough customers. Anyone remember that brutal fight where Kostya was fighting this dude who looked like a super-middleweight, a cuban dude or something? He just kept coming and eventually stopped the guy.

A prime Kostya v. Mayweather is disaster for Mayweather. Kostya had the sharp counters and straight punches to really throw Floyd off his game.

A current Kostya v. Mayweather is still an interesting fight, even though Floyd should be a heavy favorite.

A current Kostya v. Margarito is disaster waiting to happen. Margarito is brutal and relentless, and his size would just give him too many advantages over an aged Tszyu. I'd pay to see it, as would everyone else, but by the 3rd round I'd be cringing, wondering when they were going to stop it.

Don't count KT out yet, remember the loss he took against Phillips? That was his motivation to accomplish everything he did afterwards. He might come back better than ever after the loss to Hatton.
