  • Why So Little Baldomir KOs?

in the fight with gatti, i heard them say how big baldy is and he walks around at 180. and this guy TKOd the iron-chinned warrior arturo gatti. yet, he only has 13 KOs in a 58 fight career.

if this guy is so big and powerful (so much so he can stop arturo gatti), why isnt his record chalked full of knockouts? he has the style of a puncher and hes aparently a pretty big welterweight, so why only 13 knockouts?

    who the **** knows???????????????????????????????????

that is strange. and you really can't say that Arturo Gatti has a weak chin.

gatti does not have an iron chin. that is a common misconception. he is alot like cotto in which he makes up for having a bad chin by having a huge heart. you would be suprised how many times gatti has been knocked flat on his ass in his career.

to answer your question, i'm not sure. he looks like a puncher too me. he is not a very clean puncher and he fought gatti - who started his career at 135 (so he is fairly blown up at 147).

well i beleive that it was Gatti's first fight at welterweight so he was fairly outmatched in power. so thats why baldy was able to KO.

he withstood hundreds of bombs that landed cleanly on his head against the hard hitting micky ward and you say hes got a bad chin?

cotto has a weak chin as evidenced by how easily hes wobbled. corrales has a weak chin and poor defense but hes got a lot of heart. gatti has poor defense but you dont see him get staggered like cotto or KDd as much as corrales.

gatti gets wobbled easily and often he is only able to stand upright by the ropes.

His chin was definately not the same at 147 as it was at 135, I'll say that much.

im presuming uve seen the gatti ward trilogy?

gatti was never very good with his defence so he was open 2 punches and took aload of combos to often which got 2 him,he was never rocked with single punches it took flurrys and flurrys of punches 2 hurt him,and they were easy 2 land on him

Gatti cannot compete in 147 at this age I dont think. Baldomir's punches are weak though for a welterweight.
