Obviously sidn't like Tyson personally. He should be ahead of Dempse,y and Marciano should be in Mike's place at 100.Jack Johnson should exchange places with Ali, and Cerdan should be higher. Langford lower. George Foreman definitely lower. Ketchell Ray Leonard, McGovern and Gans should be lower. I see Basilio well up there but no sign of Gene Fullmer, Nino Benvenuti, Duilio Loi, Roy Jones should be much higher. LaMotta is too high.
I can't see why Peter Jackson, John L. and J.J.Corbett are included except from "sentiment'. All the other boxers would dance rings around them and win by large margins, unless a lucky punch got in. Battling Levinsky should have been well up in the middle but not even mentioned.

It's a hell of a job to make a large list. Far, far too many top notchers to even attempt one. I'd suggest taking only the boxers for a period of say, 25 years. at a time.

And a very smelly, battered old hat, to show his eccentricity. His signatures. Just a gimmick. And I don't think a very good historian. He was around for many years before enyone ever heard of him, and then only when the really top guys died off.

Lots of fighters are in the GOF who really should not be there, but for lack of better candidates...made it. Lennox Lewis should, be there somewhere around the 90s.

BHOF is divided into eras for a reason.
It's almost a different sport from way back when.

I certainly agree with you about Hagler. Unlike most present posters, I've SEEN those earlier fighters, or was around and read aboyt their fights as they took place,. Saw ever one of the major Robinson fights, many on Wide World of Sports etc. I am not a tyoung guy, but still a keen fight fan.

Benvenuti lost twice to Monzonin2 of his last 3, he was an Olympic Gold medalist, had about 124 amateur fights woll all. And he reminds me that Luis Rodriguex should be on the list at Benvenuti's level... Just around Emil Griffith's level both of them, and if he's in the list they should be right there with him..

There should have been TWO lists of 100 each.
