Peter-Toney. The judges were right for once.

I've said it once or twice in other threads as well. I watched the fight the day after, determined to watch objectively. The scoring was flawed but Sam Peter landed slightly fewer but plenty of clean shots on Toney. Ignoring the commentary you could hear a sound 'WHACK' for many of Peter's shots that may have looked like they weren't clean but damn well sounded it.
Peter landed plenty. He was the aggressor. It was a back and forth fight. Toney showed moments of high volume punching.
I thought many rounds were judgement calls. The fight could have been scored to either fighter without me batting an eyelid. Only the large margin seems odd to me.
I think the decision is valid but the scores unrealistic.

Exactly. It was a razor close fight, but the judges did Peter a disservice with their cards, because that's what everyone focused on. If two judges had Peter winning 114-113, then there would be hardly any controversy at all.

Actually, I'm sick of the whole dumb assed mock controversy, Bozo - but I'm also sick of seeing the Toney groupies going on and on and on and on about this imaginary injustice, so that's why I bumped my own thread - and i will confess that that is not a very classy thing to do - frowned upon in the finer social circles, what? I truthfully don't think that either one of them looked any good - though, as I just said on that ludicrous Toney groupie "poll", I think that Peter has good potential if he can trim down, stop rabbit punching (and the referees need to call him out on that!), and develop a killer instict, if that's possible.

Where are the citations for those alleged statistics of yours!?

I think that, as people review the tape of the fight (something I have not been able to do), opinion is switching towards Peter (note posts above).

This is much ado about nothing. Neither one of them are impressive, and corrupt boxing has CONSTANT blatantly false decisions that pass unnoticed, like Golota's wins over Byrd and Ruiz, to pick two out of the hat - and those two were championship fights, so Golota was robbed of the championship! (What's going on with that nutbag anyway? Last I heard - and that was months ago - he had been arrested for kidnapping and sexually ******ing two girls...then nothing, least I haven't heard anything).
