  • No More American HWs

almost all the american HWs have been wiped off the map, or at least from their top rankings.

chris byrd: TKFOd by wlad, thank god.
john the bum ruiz: finally got the decision he deserved against valuev, thank god even more.
hasim rahman: TKFOd by oleg maskaev, also thank god.
lamon brewster: beat by lyko in what i hear was a damn good match, but is sidelined with a detached retina.
james toney: robbery or not, a loss is a loss, his last three outings for the HW crown have all been disasters for toney, in one way or another.

and when brock gets stopped by wlad in november, he'll be added to the list above.

there are no serious US HWs that are still viable contenders to the HW crown. i dont think brock is a real contender cuz hes one of the most mediocre fighters ive ever seen.

i dont think this is particularly a good or bad thing for the HW division, being all but rid of real american contenders. im just saying, this could very well be the death stroke for the HW division in the USA.

I don't follow the heavyweight division much, but I'll be rooting for Brock against Wladimir. I hope he lands on that chin.

Boxing is more dangerous than all other sports, and is definently not as popular. Also basketball is 82 games no PPV. NFL is 16 games no PPV. I don't think boxing will ever reach that popularity.

Speaking of boxing gyms I plan to join one. I'm nowhere near heavweight though(108).

Brock is the ultimate under dog, especially when he wasn't expect to be anywhere near where he is at right now. I remember in the Olympics they gave him exactly no hope to win against the Cuban boxer much less hope as a pro. I'll be rooting for him too. Best chance for him to win is make it a dog fight and fight Wlad in close. I still think Wlad can't fight on the inside, givinng him room to punch is putting you in danger.
