wow almost 9 out of 10 had Toney winning. really makes you question the credibility of that 1 guy out of 10 who had Peter winning (Kid Achilles, mechslave).
what makes me laugh the hardest were all the guys screaming how sam was going to KTFO james out in the early rounds. I mean, Jesus H. Christ, could they have ridden Peter's **** any harder?
i have been a boxing fan for 35 years and i have seldom seen a figher get robbed as bad as james toney did saturday night . it was obvious to evena casual fan that sam peters was getting hit alot more than james toney and that james toney was not getting hit . to me it was not even close . i love the sport of boxing but i hate the poltics in boxing that results in this kind of fraud .
I don't think it was a robbery.....I really want to watch it again tho because I did have a good buzz when it was on.I scored it 114-113 for Peter though.

Try reading occasionally. I said I had Toney winning.
My point is that it was a very close fight. Everyone saying that Toney "dominated" are quite simply wrong. I can give you many fights where one fighter "dominated" another, and Toney v. Peter is NOT one of them. Sorry.
The fight was reasonably close and Toney did not dominate, but he certainly schooled Peter. He landed more clean punches, controlled the tempo, had better defense (Peter's defense is eating punches). Peter only had aggression, and even so in the middle of the fight he was backing up and lethargic.
Giving Peter the benefit of the doubt, it was 6-6 and Toney wins on the point deduction. Being objective, it was 7-5 or 8-4 Toney.
Peter was competitive, but he was ineffective.
The WBC should make Toney the mandatory for the Oleg-Pete winner. If they do not, never again will a highly ranked fighter risk a #1 ranking. The WBC should reward the risk taking and acknowledge the curios decision by giving Toney the next shot.
